We propose organizing three community-led Cardano summits in Japan. These summits will strategically bring together Cardano stakeholders from Japan and around the world. Our vision is to create a dynamic platform for collaboration and encourage Japanese companies to adopt Cardano. By strategically hosting the summits concurrently with other major events, we aim to optimize budget utilization for maximum impact.
Event Integration with Major Industry Gatherings
These events will be seamlessly integrated as key side events alongside Japan's major technology and blockchain events:(Basically as a side event. There is also a possibility of setting up a booth.)
- April 2024: Adjacent to the Teamz Web3 / AI Summit on April 13-14 2024.
- July 2024: Coinciding with IVS 4-6 July 2024.
- August 2024: In conjunction with WebX 28-29 August 2024.
Core Objectives and Impact
Our initiative is driven by three core objectives:
- Unified Gathering of Cardano Stakeholders: We aim to convene all Cardano stakeholders in Japan, enhancing the event's appeal through the participation of esteemed international speakers. - Daniel Friedman, the CEO of zenGate is known for being an early team member of IOG and supported the launch of Cardano from the Osaka office. As the former Business Develop Manager for IOG, he has spent a number of years developing relationships, entering new jurisdictions and deploying national-level solutions. He is a reputable voice in the Cardano community and has been a key member of the Japanese community since the inception of the ecosystem. Dan has been living in Japan for over 10 years and is a critical member of this proposal in increasing awareness of Cardano in the Japanese business ecosystem.
- Sam Lambert, the COO of zenGate has management consulting experience, working with executives from some of the largest global institutions from banks, insurance and telecommunication companies. His ability to run workshops and manage stakeholders are essential skills to deliver on this project. Also, based out of Osaka, Japan - his project management and operational expertise will be core as he works closely with Yuta and Siera on the delivery of this proposal.
- • Theodore Morisis: Head of Biz Ops at zenGate Global and community educator in the Cardano ecosystem. Theodore will support the project with market outreach and coordination to ensure the connectivity between Japanese and non-Japanese Cardano community - ensuring the Japanese community leveraging growth strategies and learnings from successes in other markets.

The core members of the zenGate team that will spearhead this proposal include:
- Daniel Friedman (zenGate Lead for Proposal), the CEO of zenGate is known for being an early team member of IOG and supported the launch of Cardano from the Osaka office. As the former Business Develop Manager for IOG, he has spent a number of years developing relationships, entering new jurisdictions and deploying national-level solutions. He is a reputable voice in the Cardano community and has been a key member of the Japanese community since the inception of the ecosystem. Dan has been living in Japan for over 10 years and is a critical member of this proposal in increasing awareness of Cardano in the Japanese business ecosystem.
- Sam Lambert (Event Organizer and Project Manager for zenGate), the COO of zenGate has management consulting experience, working with executives from some of the largest global institutions from banks, insurance and telecommunication companies. His ability to run workshops and manage stakeholders are essential skills to deliver on this project. Also, based out of Osaka, Japan - his project management and operational expertise will be core as he works closely with Yuta and Siera on the delivery of this proposal.
- • Theodore Morisis (Community Outreach and Event Organization support): Head of Biz Ops at zenGate Global and community educator in the Cardano ecosystem. Theodore will support the project with market outreach and coordination to ensure the connectivity between Japanese and non-Japanese Cardano community - ensuring the Japanese community leveraging growth strategies and learnings from successes in other markets.
