The Goal of Revamping Sustainable ADA is to onboard more people into the blockchain space by showing them the advantages it can have on creating a positive impact across the globe. With this goal, we will create more educational content and educational experiences to make Sustainable ADA the go-to place to receive education on the connection blockchain technology and web3 has to sustainability, regeneration and equitable outcomes.

Through the revamp we will be focused on onboarding more community members and contributors. Creating a simple onboarding process and having a place for these community members to collaborate. We plan to launch a community contributor fund to create a budget to pay community members for contributing and adding more educational value.

All onboarding efforts and material for Sustainable ADA will also be used for the Impact Web3 ecosystem. Helping educate all Impact evaluators, investors, and impact warriors. We will make sure all the NGOs and Impact associations onboarded to Proof of Impact Platform (PIP) have the requisite knowledge to navigate the blockchain and web3 ecosystem.

Sustainable ADA has a strong track record in the Cardano and web3 ecosystem. Through their past work they have onboarded contributors from around the world and made their platform multi-lingual to be accessible to more people across the globe. Sustainable ADA is a leader in the space in sustainable blockchain education and a testament of this is shown by their work creating the Cardano Impact Report 2023.

Sustainable ADA plans to process and enhance the educational opportunities available for the Cardano community and beyond, so they can attract and engage more users to join the Cardano community, and retain a community to help grow the Cardano4Good ecosystem. 

Sustainable ADA will continue to focus on all the key language groups within the Cardano ecosystem and will leverage their strong partnerships with various community leaders in the ecosystem to help onboard more contributors and learners from each language group and all walks of life.

We aim to enhance our storytelling efforts and have more stories written by community members in their native language. In the long term we still have the goal of having at least one person representing each country in the world, and talking about their connection with Cardano, blockchain, and sustainability. 

We plan to provide resources for educators and activists to confidently introduce blockchain technology into people’s lives; highlighting the advantages and potential to positively impact their own lives, with ripple effects that create meaningful impacts within the broader community.

We will connect within our networks to expand our international team of contributors, finding a person from each language group within Cardano’s ecosystem, to continue to grow our grassroots led, diverse, inclusive, multilingual, multicultural, sustainability news and education hub.

Sustainable ADA will be focusing on all the language groups within the Cardano ecosystem, aiming to get a story written by a writer, at least one person representing each country in the world, and talking about their connection with Cardano, blockchain, and sustainability. 

Through this process, we plan to partner with universities and university societies that align with common goals (e.g. blockchain, sustainability, digital skills)and educational institutions so we can onboard more youth and lifelong learners. We are already in talks with partners Pagoda Projects who have provided us with interns, and also Cambridge Consulting Network.

We will be focusing also on SPOs as they are a group currently lacking widespread storytelling and coverage about their experiences and contributions to the ecosystem. We will work with the CNC Alliance to help promote the pools in the ecosystem running on renewable energy or making a positive impact on chain and in the world. We plan to have an article/interview with the major alliances and their members inviting them to our weekly Cardano for Good X spaces to help increase the numbers of informed delegators, and ADA holder engagement in the wider ecosystem.

Impact: we will be creating a global impact by educating and onboarding new and existing stakeholders deeper into the community with storytelling and specific community participation engagement.

Feasibility: We have global links and a globally diverse, multichain community that is supportive and open! Through our various partnerships, we will be able to reach the global audience we expect.

With the idea brewing for years, taking shape since 2021, during 2023 Sustainable ADA undertook a great journey in creating the very first Cardano Impact Report 2023 “Recalibrating Value, Identity & Impact Through the Blockchain”.

We propose to create another edition. The Cardano Impact Report 2024. A comprehensive publication that aims to capture and showcase the positive impact generated by the Cardano community, and especially the unsung heroes who deserve a spotlight.

What is it?

The Cardano Impact Report is a comprehensive publication that aims to capture and showcase the positive impact generated by the Cardano community. It is designed as a book NFT (Non-Fungible Token) to leverage the unique features of blockchain technology, ensuring authenticity, transparency, and immutability of the content.

The 2024 edition will showcase art and original pieces from the Cardano4Good, web3 and impact community, and integrate the CIP-68 datum metadata standard to facilitate our plans to have dynamic NFTs.

Why it's important for Cardano, the community, and beyond?

Some may say that today, we live in both, the best of times and the worst of times.

With forest fires recently in Canada, protests against injustice in Paris, and the planet heating up to unprecedented levels…the world is on fire.

Scientists have warned of worsening global warming. 

The Earth is getting so hot that temperatures in about a decade will probably blow past a level of warming that world leaders have sought to prevent.

According to the United Nations, we are in a “code red for humanity. 

BUT, it’s not all doom and gloom, and there are solutions that exist today. 

• The Cardano Impact Report 2024 will play a crucial role in highlighting and celebrating the social and environmental solutions and outcomes achieved by the Cardano community. 

• It shall serve as a testament to the transformative power of blockchain technology and its potential to drive positive change in various sectors, including finance, governance, sustainability, and social impact.

We believe that Cardano is making a step towards a world where new mechanisms of decentralized cooperation and consensus can start to replace the cheap-at-all-costs and business-as-usual structures that are degrading the world we live in.

The Cardano Impact Report 2024 will play a crucial role in highlighting and celebrating the social and environmental impact and outcomes achieved by the Cardano community. It serves as a testament to the transformative power of blockchain technology and its potential to drive positive change in various sectors, including finance, governance, sustainability, and social impact.

Community Collaboration

The Cardano Impact Report 2024 will be a collaborative effort involving active participation from various stakeholders within the Cardano4Good, Blockchain4Good, Web3, and Impact communities. 

Sustainable ADA invites community members, project leaders, developers, researchers, and enthusiasts to contribute their insights, success stories, and expertise to make the Impact Report a comprehensive and inclusive representation of the wider community's and ecosystem achievements.

An Annual Report/Book

The Cardano Impact Report 2024 shall be published annually as a book NFT, providing a consolidated account of the progress, milestones, and impact generated by the Cardano ecosystem throughout the year. By adopting an annual format, it ensures that the Impact Report remains up-to-date, relevant, and reflective of the community's continuous growth and evolution.

Auditability:

We will commit to sharing updates on the project through our social media channels like Twitter, Linked In, etc. sharing a page with a countdown from our target of total countries (193 according to UN-recognized ones - we can go beyond this measure!)

We need international content created by a diverse and multicultural community of creators, that connect the dots between Cardano and how it can and is being used to have a positive real world impact! This technology is meant for all and the stories should be told by all.

Our proposal seeks to help by:

• Growing a contributor community from within the Cardano community and support new contributors to join the Cardano community
• Creating educational resources that connect the dots between Cardano, Blockchains and Sustainability
• Providing an entry point for contributions that bring value back to the Cardano community
• This is an ongoing idea that will provide the means to expand the Sustainable ADA contributor pool
• Providing content that will be open access and free to read
• Providing content created that will be made available for public access via the Sustainable ADA website and any partner organisations that provide their platform for reposting
• This proposal is fit for the Cardano Open category as it is seeking funds to support onboarding contributors, rewarding contributions and engagement on the resources and topics of Cardano4Good.

Bring new people to the community and activate current community members through engagement, education, and awareness raising and grassroots community involvement.

Solve a key problem and issue of addressing the gap in knowledge and understanding of the use of Cardano for real world impact and evidence of use case application.

Awareness raising through education to tackle FUD (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt) by arming stakeholders with a researched and accessible document.

Advocacy and Policy (holding companies, stakeholders accountable with transparency, lobbying for laws and regulation etc)

Direct Services with the use of this report as a resource (eg: consulting, advice, community support, networking, future utility, and rewards)

The main goals for the project are as follows:

• Enhance Educational Opportunities: Sustainable ADA plans to enhance and provide educational opportunities. The goal is to engage more users, retain a community, and contribute to the growth of the Cardano4Good ecosystem.

• Multilingual and Multicultural Engagement: Sustainable ADA will continue to focus on all key language groups within the Cardano ecosystem. They aim to leverage their strong partnerships with community leaders to onboard more contributors and learners from each language group and all walks of life. The long-term goal is to have at least one person reKpresenting each country in the world, sharing their connection with Cardano, blockchain, and sustainability.

• Focus on Stake Pool Operators (SPOs): The project will focus on amplifying the stories and contributions of SPOs within the Cardano ecosystem. Collaborating with the CNC Alliance, Sustainable ADA aims to promote pools running on renewable energy or making a positive impact on the chain. They plan to conduct articles and interviews with major alliances and their members, inviting them to the weekly "Cardano for Good" spaces to increase staker involvement.

Impact Web3 & Sustainable ADA

Cole Bartlett and Razali Samsudin Co-founded Sustainable ADA and Impact Web 3, and have been shaping it into what it is today.

It all started with the initial idea for Sustainable ADA back on April 20th of 2021 (Sustainable ADA 2021). Together, we co-founded it in June of 2021. We have backgrounds, professional experiences, and knowledge in education, economics, sustainability, and how blockchain technologies can be harnessed for good.

Sustainable ADA were Masterclass speakers at Cardano Summit 2023, and nominees for the Blockchain for Good awards.

Catalyst Journey:

We joined Project Catalyst, Cardano’s decentralized innovation fund, during fund 4. After applying and learning from both funds 4 and 5 along with lots of support from Cardano community members and teams, we were able to construct a strong proposal together that focused on our goals and ambitions for Sustainable ADA, and the Cardano community’s goals. We submitted a proposal focused on helping Grow Cardano, and Grow Africa.

With this funding, we had more capacity to focus on researching and sharing stories from change-makers in Africa and the diaspora, who are engaging with Cardano, creating a better tomorrow, today. 

Thanks to the Cardano community and the use of their voting power from holding and staking ADA, we successfully secured the funding we were seeking. This helped us to take significant steps towards fulfilling our vision and mission having secured these crucial and helpful funds.

Through our time in the Project Catalyst ecosystem, we have been able to create a lot of strong and exciting partnerships with projects and businesses all across the world. This has led us to develop new ambitions for the work we do and to expand beyond education.

Experience and Expertise 

The Sustainable ADA team has experience working with Figma, Canva, Wix, Final Cut Pro, Da Vinci Resolve 17, Adobe CC, Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc).

Sustainable ADA has experience and backgrounds in Sustainability, Economics, Humanities, Social Sciences. Along with work with NGOs, Social Enterprises, Freelance journalism, and blogging. 

The team has been a part of the Cardano ecosystem since 2020 and is very dedicated to the Cardano ecosystem. We created Recalibrating Value, Identity & Impact Through the Blockchain: Cardano Impact Report 2023”.

The team also has undertaken the first of its kind Cardano Impact Report. 

The Cardano Impact Report is a comprehensive publication that aims to capture and showcase the positive impact generated by the Cardano community. It is designed as a book NFT (Non-Fungible Token) to leverage the unique features of blockchain technology, ensuring authenticity, transparency, and immutability of the content.

[VALUE FOR MONEY] How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

This project aims to enhance educational opportunities, engage more users, and grow the Cardano4Good ecosystem. We plan to make our platform multilingual and multicultural, focusing on all language groups within the Cardano ecosystem. Our project also aims to have at least one representative from each country in the world sharing their connection with Cardano, blockchain, and sustainability. By creating more educational content tailored toward multiple backgrounds it allows us to onboard and educate more people across the globe and get us closer to our goal.

Sustainable ADA plans to provide resources for educators and activists to introduce blockchain technology, highlighting its sustainable advantages and positive impacts. We also aim to partner with universities and educational institutions to onboard more youth into the ecosystem. 

Sustainable ADA will also focus on supporting stake pool operators (SPOs) and working with the CNC Alliance to promote pools running on renewable energy or making a positive impact on the Cardano blockchain.

The project's impact, feasibility, and audibility mentioned are important.

We expect to create a global impact by educating and onboarding stakeholders and creating a open diverse and supportive community with global links through our various partnerships. We also plan to share project updates through social media channels and have a page with a countdown to track progress toward their goal of reaching representatives from all countries.

Overall, Sustainable ADA aims to create a multilingual, multicultural, sustainability news, and education hub within the Cardano ecosystem, involving contributors and learners from different backgrounds and promoting sustainable blockchain education.
