We will translate 45 IOG research papers into Vietnamese, explain difficult terms and post them on the cardano.vn website to create a knowledge library for the Cardano Vietnam community.

This is a non-technical proposal, it does not involve code. However, the output results of our project will be published here. It is fully open to the community.

[SOLUTION] Please describe your proposed solution.

• The research papers published by IOG are all papers that have been researched in depth and have undergone a peer reviewed process. Members of the Cardano Vietnam community need to learn about these research papers.
• The Cardano Vietnam community is very large. However, in-depth research papers in English and with many specialized terms are a huge barrier for the community. The Cardano community in Vietnam has difficulty accessing papers about Blockchain and Cardano in English.
• We are a team with translation expertise and experience. We have had experience researching the Cardano Blockchain since 2017. Since fund 7, we have translated videos on Charles Hoskinson, Input Output, and Cardano Foundation youtube channels into Vietnamese. Our products receive great support from the Cardano Vietnam community.
• As of December 7, 2023, there have been 199 research papers published here. Within the scope of our proposal in Fund 11, we will translate 45 research papers into Vietnamese and post them to the cardano.vn website to create a knowledge library for the Cardano Vietnam community.
• Our solution will help the Cardano Vietnam community have one more official source of information. We will build a long-term knowledge library for the community. This is an important solution because in Vietnam there is no team to translate these research papers into Vietnamese, language is still a big barrier for those who want to learn in-depth about Cardano. We believe our solution will help the current and future Cardano community, it will help the Cardano Vietnam community grow stronger and better.

[IMPACT] Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community.

• This is a non-technical proposal. We will create translations to provide official knowledge to the community. We will help make information about Cardano more known to the Vietnamese community. Through this proposal we will attract more members to join the Cardano Vietnam community.
• Our proposal is also a way for us to build community. We have been building the Cardano Vietnam community for many years. Our Telegram group has more than 2700 members, our youtube channel has about 19900 subscribers.
• Our proposal will help the Cardano Vietnam community access official knowledge easily. This knowledge will create positive impacts for the community. For example, when reading the research papers we have posted on the cardano.vn website, the Cardano Vietnam community better understand Hydra, Proof of Useful Work and Ouroboros Leios.... By learning these insights officially, the Cardano Vietnam community will clearly understand the superiority of Cardano compared to other platforms.
• We measure project success here. When accessing this link, people will know how many research papers are being translated? How many research papers are waiting to be translated? And how many research papers have been completed?
• Some indicators to measure the success of the project are: After finishing milestone 1, there will be 30 visits and 20 downloads of research papers. After finishing milestone 2, there will be 60 visits and 40 downloads of research papers. After finishing milestone 3, there will be 90 visits and 60 downloads of research papers. We will measure through the Google Anylatics tool.
• We will share the project's output at the cardano.vn website. This is a website where you can learn a lot of information about Cardano. Additionally, we share project's output to our Telegram group. This is a group with lively and quality discussions in the Cardano Vietnam community. After completing this project, we plan to diversify media forms for output products, such as Video lectures or Livestream sessions.

[CAPABILITY & FEASIBILITY] What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?

• We have been translating Videos on YouTube channels of Charles Hoskinson, Input Output and Cardano Foundation for almost 2 years. Recently, we have translated many videos at the Cardano Summit 2023 event into Vietnamese. You can watch the videos here.
• We are members of the Reward for Community Translators project funded in Fund 7. Our project is completed (here is our close out video), however we continue to operate and create quality products to send to the Cardano Vietnam community. You can see a list of the free translation video here, they have code that starts with "Fr". This shows that we are very trustworthy and responsible, and we are fully capable of completing the project "IOG Research Paper Library for the Cardano Vietnam community".
• In addition, to prove the feasibility of our proposal, we translated 12 research papers into Vietnamese. You can see our translations here.
• We already have experience in managing project money because we have completed a project funded in Fund 7. After receiving funding, our money management steps are as follows:

+ The project manager will manage the funded amount.

+ The translator selects research papers to translate. After this research paper is translated, the reviewer will review and post it on the cardano.vn website.

+ Next, in this link, the research papers are transferred to the "Done & Unpaid" sheet for monitoring.

+ We will compile statistics and pay rewards to translators and reviewers within the first 5 days of the next month, for example: translators and reviewers' rewards in March will be paid within 5 days first of April.

• We have anticipated some risks and have mitigation solutions as follows:

+ Risk 1: In research articles, there are specialized terms that can create confusion for readers. Our solution: Our project team is experienced people who will review translations before sending them to the community.

+ Risk 2: In-depth research papers will have few people interested. Our solution: In addition to posting the product on the cardano.vn website, we will send the product to our Telegram group. This is a group with quality and lively discussions of the Cardano Vietnam community.

• The total pages we will translate is 433 pages.
• The total cost for milestone 1 is: 433 x 12 = 5196 (ADA), which is 33.4% of the proposal budget.
• The results of milestone 1: 15 research papers in Vietnamese were posted on the cardano.vn website, 30 paper visits, and 20 paper downloads.
• Milestone 1 completion date: March 31, 2024.

From April 1, 2024 to April 30, 2024

• We will translate 15 research papers (for details of the 15 research papers that need to be translated, see the Pending sheet here).
• The total pages we will translate is 408 pages.
• The total cost for milestone 2 is: 408 x 12 = 4896 (ADA), which is 31.5% of the proposal budget.
• The results of milestone 2: 15 research papers in Vietnamese were posted on the cardano.vn website, 60 paper visits (included milestone 1 data), and 40 paper downloads (included milestone 1 data).

Total budget: 15564 ADA.

Translation cost: 12 ADA per page: Of which 10 ADA per page is for the translator, 2 ADA per page is for reviewing and posting on the cardano.vn website.

Detailed budget analysis:

1. Milestone 1: From March 1, 2024 to March 31, 2024

• We will translate 15 research papers
• The total pages we will translate is 433 pages.
• The cost for milestone 1 is: 433 x 12 = 5196 (ADA), which is 33.4% of the proposal budget.

2. Milestone 2: From April 1, 2024 to April 30, 2024

• We will translate 15 research papers.
• The total pages we will translate is 408 pages.
• The cost for milestone 2 is: 408 x 12 = 4896 (ADA), which is 31.5% of the proposal budget.

3. Final milestone: From May 1, 2024 to May 30, 2024

• We will translate 15 research papers
• The total pages we will translate is 456 pages.
• The cost for milestone 3 is: 456 x 12 = 5472 (ADA), which is 35.1% of the proposal budget.

So the total pages to be translated is: 433 + 408 + 456 = 1297 (pages)

Total budget of our proposal is: 5196 + 4896 + 5472 = 15564 (ADA)

[VALUE FOR MONEY] How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?

• Our project only has 2 types of costs: translator reward (10 ADA per page) and reviewer reward (2 ADA per page). Through the process of experimentally translating 12 research papers (corresponding to 431 pages) into Vietnamese, we found this is a reasonable cost of our project. Our project funding will create benefits for the Cardano Vietnam community.
• We decide the project's budget based on the following factors:

+ This is an in-depth research paper on Blockchain, so we need a team of staff with extensive experience in translation and good understanding of Blockchain.

+ We consulted the translation costs of a Haskell book translation proposal funded in Fund 8. This proposal has been funded at a cost of 10 USD per page. Therefore, it is very reasonable for us to ask for a translation cost of 12 ADA (about more than 4 USD at the time of writing the proposal) per page.

+ We have built quality information channels over the years, which is a factor that helps us save marketing costs for the project.

+ In addition, we also consulted with some people in the Cardano Vietnam community.
