We are excited to propose a cutting-edge health app that leverages advanced AI technology to revolutionize medication adherence and support individuals with chronic conditions.We found that:
- The average non-adherence rate is 25%.
- Patients who were adherent with treatment survived significantly longer, ie, 1462 of 31,439 (4.7%) adherent patients died, as compared with 1317 of 15,408 (8.5%) patients with suboptimal adherence.
- 49.6% of patients mentioned forgetfulness as one of the major non-intentional reasons for non adherence.
- 50% of people with a prescription for a chronic condition like cardiovascular disease stop taking it within the first year.
- Between 41% and 59% of mentally ill patients take their medication infrequently or not at all.
- Patients who had recently experienced a myocardial infarction took key medicines intended to prevent further cardiac events only 35%–50% of the time.
