[SOLUTION] Please describe your proposed solution.
Job shadowing is a type of on-the-job training that allows an interested employee to follow and closely observe another employee performing the role. This learning method allows employees to gain the necessary experience needed to become valuable to their employers. In Fund 9 when we proposed to try this concept with African talents, here are some key questions we were trying to validate
- Will companies find value in a job-shadowing platform?
- Are talents willing to have this Job shadowing experience Virtually?
- Will talents(African talents In the context of F9) become much more valuable post the program?
- How will payments be made, and will companies be willing to pay in ADA?
These were some among many questions at the back of our minds when we started the experiment, our result showed a lot more than we imagined, here are some problems we encountered
- Talents were very willing to get job shadowing experience, in fact, the demand was more than the available companies willing to take them in, so we had more talents who wanted the Job shadowing experience but fewer companies willing to offer
- The language barrier that exists between employees and the one being job-shadowed
- The lack of a personalized mentorship system, and the program was not well suited for individuals who just wanted to share their experience with the younger ones
- The need to validate that talent actually passed through the process
- The bureaucracy of payments, companies had to pay us while we made the payments to the talents wallet.
Based on these identified problems we are proposing the following to the concept already built in order to create a viable MVP that we can utilize with talents and employers globally, the solutions are listed according to the way the problem was listed
- In the MVP we are proposing companies will have their curated platforms where the mentorship process becomes predictable and automated, so with few employers, we can help more talents. Say it this way it will become a one-to-many approach, which will be recorded and made repeatable by our platform, this solves the demand and supply problem.
- Most communication will be AI-assisted with translation and contexts added by AI to help both parties communicate effectively.
- An employer or employee can directly request for application for direct mentorship from those seeking job shadowing, this will be one singular breakthrough because what this means is that even you as an employee can come on the platform and get a few talents to learn from your wealth of experience.
- The integration of an on-chain proof, in this case, a Cardano-based DID certification as proof that talent has undergone a job shading with a company or person
- In the MVP talents will have their own wallets in their profile, same with the employers so that they will do the direct payment to the talent, we will also have a multi-sig wallet for employers to pay many talents directly.
Enhancements for the MVP:
- Curated Platforms for Companies
- AI-Assisted Communication
- Direct Mentorship Requests
- On-Chain Proof with Cardano DID Certification
- Wallet Integration for Talents and Employers
Tech Stack:

[IMPACT] Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community.
Impact:
We're keeping it real when it comes to measuring impact. Here's our game plan:
Quantitative Metrics:
- We'll be crunching the numbers to gauge user engagement, mentorship completion rates, and the overall growth in talent value post-program. The more talents finding value, the better.
Qualitative Insights:
- Beyond the numbers, we're diving deep into qualitative insights. Regular feedback loops, surveys, and direct conversations with talents and employers will be our compass to understand the real-world impact.
Success Stories:
- Impact isn't just about stats; it's about stories. We'll be on the lookout for success stories – talents securing jobs, companies benefiting from fresh perspectives. These narratives paint a vivid picture of our impact.
Sharing Our Journey:
Transparent Updates:
- We're not keeping this journey to ourselves. Regular updates through newsletters, blog posts, and social media will keep everyone in the loop, we will join community spaces like Cardano over coffee etc to share how its going
Community Collaboration:
- We're not doing this alone. Community collaboration is key. We'll be hosting virtual town halls, Spaces, seeking input, and creating spaces for open discussions. The project is as much yours as it is ours.
Impact Reports:
- Our impact won't be a mystery. Periodic impact reports, detailing both successes and challenges, will be shared openly. It's not just about celebrating wins; it's about being honest about where we can improve.
Engagement Platforms:
- Platforms like forums and online communities will be our virtual hangout spots. It's where talents, employers, and curious minds can share experiences, ask questions, and propel the project forward together.
[CAPABILITY & FEASIBILITY] What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?
Three things are needed to execute a project of this magnitude, the passion, the experience and past precedence.
When it comes to passion there's no doubt about my passion for a world where talents are given equal opportunities to jobs, this is the vision of Remostart and is why I am the CEO. But more so the experience, this is an F9 project that we executed, and we have garnered the needed experience to move it forward, that experience will come in handy when executing this proposal. Finally my precedence of accountability to the ecosystem, I had a fund9-funded proposal which was executed and brought to completion on time, an F-10 projected that is well on time and meeting milestones as scheduled, and organized CIP-1694 Lagos successfully, all this demonstrates that I can be trusted when it comes to managing funds properly and with integrity.

[VALUE FOR MONEY] How does the cost of the project represent value for money for the Cardano ecosystem?
Our project cost breakdown is like a well-crafted investment plan for the Cardano community. It's not just numbers; every ADA has a purpose, ensuring a strategic use of resources.
We've done our due diligence, aligning costs with industry standards. It's not just about coding; it's about smart spending on the necessary tech and expertise without unnecessary splurging.
Quality and affordability are our watchwords. Catalyst ADA is going into a project that's solid and reliable, making sure you get the best value without breaking the bank.
And hey, that extra budget for contingency? It's not for fancy add-ons; it's a safety net. We want you to know we're prepared for surprises, maintaining transparency in every step.
Our project is more than code – it's about nurturing talent, fostering community, and contributing to Cardano's success. Catalyst ADA isn't just an investment; it's a vote for a thriving Cardano future. Rest assured, every ADA is diligently working for us and the entire Cardano community.
With the average cost of building similar job related portals ranging from a minimum of 50,000 Usd to an unlimited maximum USD from our research, our ask of 180 Ada, using 1 Ada = 0.35USD makes us a very conservative budget and value for money fir the ecosystem.
