The Cardano Calendar provides an all-inclusive platform for the community to view events taking place in the ecosystem. Users can receive custom notifications and updates regarding upcoming events.
No dependencies
While open-source projects are crucial for collaborative growth, our product aims to bring in new users to the ecosystem and help drive awareness of the community. We believe that finding a balance between collaboration and commercialization is key to ensuring sustained success for the Cardano ecosystem. Our project is not open sourced, however, we remain open to collaborate with other projects that can benefit from our solution.
What Are We Bringing To The Table?
The Cardano Calendar will provide the community with an inclusive resource to stay updated with all of the developments taking place within the ecosystem. There are so many projects that are currently being built, community members will have access to a platform that allows them to see everything taking place in an easy-to-use environment. Our reason for approaching this project this way is that social media is inefficient to provide all of the details for staying updated. With our platform, users can find any project they are looking for simply by selecting a few parameters. The Cardano Calendar is intended to engage the existing Cardano community and newcomers who are looking to learn more about a specific project or event. This platform will benefit the greater Cardano community as it will be inclusive to any project that is building in the ecosystem. The Cardano Calendar will be implemented as a web based interface that features events from various projects. The result of this implementation will be a resource for the Cardano community to sign up for events, twitter spaces, in-person meetups, and online events such as NFT drops and project launches. The outcome of this work will be that the Cardano Community has a trusted site where they can stay informed with the latest Cardano developments and share their favorite events with their networks. This proposal provides our development team with the resources to continue adding features to the platform and include Web3 integrations such as wallet connections and smart contracts.
Why Do We Need This?
Cardano has grown exponentially in the number of wallets, new users, and projects building within the ecosystem. It can be overwhelming to keep track of all the projects and events that are taking place and social media tends to be a cluster to navigate. With an open platform that's designed to include events from any project, Cardano community members will be able to easily stay updated with the latest happening.
We are addressing the Cardano Use Cases: Product challenge by bringing more builders into the ecosystem and creating high-quality platforms built for the community. This proposal aligns with the Challenge category as it provides a resource to facilitate events taking place within the ecosystem. Many projects are building within the space and new users coming into the community need a way to stay updated with everything taking place. This will allow for a better experience for newcomers joining the community.
Our project is being managed the Kaizen Crypto team, a well-established brand with the Cardano ecosystem. The current progress of the Cardano Calendar platform is available for anyone to use and publicly accessible via our website. https://cardanocalendar.io/
Our team has been previously funded in Catalyst funding rounds, and we continue to find new solutions to existing problems. Our efforts to build on Cardano demonstrate a strong desire to continue pushing the ecosystem forward.
