SDG Goals
No 1 - No Poverty
Financial exclusion disproportionately impacts individuals. Traditional financial systems often come with the requirement to possess specific knowledge, and limited access in remote areas. This can create a situation, where individuals cannot access the financial tools and services needed to improve their lives.
No 9 - Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
Traditional financial institutions often struggle to provide accessible and affordable financial services, in developing regions. Reliance on manpower proxies, inherent servicing fees, complex service structures, restricts financial inclusion and hinders economic growth.
No 10 - Reduced Inequalities
Indonesia faces a significant digital divide, where access to financial services and technology varies greatly between urban and rural areas. This lack of access disproportionately impacts low-income communities and hinders economic mobility.
No 13 - Climate Action
Traditional financial systems often contribute to environmental degradation by operating within a highly complex and manpower extensive infrastructure, which requires a significant real estate footprint and high energy consumption of data centers. Also, by being centralized organizations, they have the need to replicate “proxys” globally, thus increasing the footprint further to provide the same services.
SDG Subgoals
No 1.1 - No Poverty
Global Financial Inclusion: By leveraging digital identity and blockchain technology, Web3 can eliminate barriers to entry for the unbanked and underbanked. Users can open a secure wallet and conduct transactions without the need for traditional bank accounts or physical documentation.

Background
This proposal outlines the development of a user-friendly decentralized Web3 Dapp called ARISE, to be built on the Cardano Blockchain. ARISE will be designed with an intuitive and simple interface, allowing new users who are not familiar with crypto to manage their digital assets easily without the need for deep blockchain knowledge, and facilitate interaction with real world utilities, such as but not limited to, payments, transfer of value across borders, and investment activities.
Intended Outcomes
ARISE will be the seamless one-stop gateway to access Web3, and enable native services available on the Dapp to interact with real world utilities. Preparing future Indonesian users to engage with decentralized global finance, and CBDCs.
By understanding the local environment, we aim to provide a seamless user experience, where ARISE can potentially become the regional benchmark Dapp, bridging the gap between Web3 and Web2 services effectively, and fulfilling the essential needs of users' to commercially interact with businesses on a daily basis.
This will enable individuals and businesses to seamlessly take advantage of what Web3 services has to offer, and become prepared for the upcoming CBDC ecosystem, thus paving the way for a more inclusive and accessible financial landscape.
Proposed concepts
In Indonesia, e-money transactions are growing significantly, due to the adoption of e-money solutions for offline and online commerce transactions. In support of the development of digital economy and finance, Indonesia established QRIS (QR Indonesia Standard) to expand acceptance of non-cash payments. However, QRIS payment only covers a very small number of foreign transactions and is not interoperable with cryptocurrencies. The Indonesian government recognized the importance of digital innovation in the financial sector and acknowledged that Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) could offer advantages such as increased efficiency, financial inclusion, and reduced reliance on cash.
ARISE can emerge as a solution to accelerate the adoption of Web3 services and CBDCs in Indonesia, by offering a Dapp that seamlessly bridges the gap between cryptocurrency and fiat worlds, and making the interactions as user friendly as possible.
We envision a user-friendly Dapp possessing the following capabilities:
All these functionalities being available within a single DApp, can potentially eliminate the need to switch between applications, thus significantly reducing complexity for future users.
With these concepts in mind, and driven by the vision of “Unlimited Possibilities” whilst purposely considering a regulated service aggregation approach, we believe ARISE could offer an adequate and comprehensive solution to boost user adoption in Indonesia for the imminent release of CBDCs.

Captive Market: Indonesia Innovates Through Its Youthful Demography
Indonesia already possesses an engaged Web3 user base, with over 17 Million digital asset holders, that continuously seek to better understand the space, discover new utilities and identify new investment opportunities.
However it is a fragmented landscape, a maze of disconnected services (siloed environments), where users need to juggle multiple DApps and navigate complex journeys to achieve simple tasks.
It’s an environment where the majority of Web3 projects currently available on the local market do not address the “Mass Adoption Problematic”, which offers the opportunity of introducing solutions that enables easy access for new blood to the decentralized environment, instead they focus on “Capturing And Taking Away The Attention of Existing Web3 Native” users to interact with their services.
We see this as an opportunity, where a user-friendly “One-Stop Aggregated Gateway” that seamlessly connects users to global Web3 services can not only empower them, but also bring benefits to existing Indonesian Web3 projects by providing easy access to a wider audience.
This upcoming bridge of “Aggregated Solutions” that prioritizes user experience, will enable users to harness the power of innovation offered by Web3, while preparing for the future release and added security of CBDCs.
Proposed Values to the results expectations:
The proposed project aims to be a seamless bridge between Web2 and Web3 based services, empowering existing users and newcomers. Enabling them to seamlessly benefit from services offered by both environments, and simplify daily interactions by merging these tools into their routines.
This initiative also seeks to address the knowledge gap and eliminate the complexities often associated with blockchain technology, empowering a wider audience to embrace its potential benefits.
To achieve the proposed project’s goals, we will begin by ideating on a comprehensive suite of features that cater to the needs of new users and address the challenges they may face when interacting with blockchain-based services. These features will be designed with simplicity, security, regulatory compliance, take into account existing economic environment considerations, and utmost ease of use for users.
