[SOLUTION] Please describe your proposed solution
In September 2024, thanks to the governance workshop (Intersect), an inclusive and open platform for the participation of the Cardano community was created in Bolivia, with the main challenge being to consolidate the Bolivian community through personalized events and educational outreach initiatives.
Our focus is on implementing strategic measures to ensure meaningful participation and valuable knowledge for future initiatives in the ecosystem. So far, the Cardano community is present in the major cities of the country, namely La Paz and Santa Cruz de la Sierra, and our project seeks to include developers, investors, users, policy makers, and enthusiasts with the goal of enriching the local community.
This community results from a holistic approach to initiatives that emerged from Catalyst, and now we are the Bolivia community taking the lead to enhance Cardano.
The events include mentoring opportunities, participation in the Cardano documentary, and an educational blockchain-based game. These activities showcase Cardano’s technology and principles. Our mission is to hold 12 events in Bolivia, 6 in La Paz and 6 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, over the course of 1 year. The strategy consists of:
- Local organization with current members.
- Planning the topics to be covered.
- Involving academia by inviting universities.
- Educational and work meetings.
- Onboarding, follow-up, and community strengthening.
Workshops include:
- Introduction to Blockchain: A beginner’s session covering blockchain and cryptocurrency basic
- Cardano: An introductory session covering Cardano's blockchain technology and application
- Smart Contracts and Decentralized Applications: An advanced session on developing and implementing smart contracts and dApps on Cardan
- Decentralized Governance: An in-depth exploration of Cardano’s governance model and stakeholders’ roles in decision-making processe
- dRep Onboarding: A training session for prospective delegate representatives (dReps) on effective participation in Cardano's governance processe
- Improving Bolivia: A session to identify Cardano-based solutions to improve the country
[IMPACT] Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community
The success of this project will provide significant value to the Cardano community by expanding its presence in South America. We will have a diverse community with people of different skills and knowledge, critically contributing to making Cardano Bolivia an active community that provides valuable input.
[CAPABILITY & FEASIBILITY] What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?
We are a new community, so we will rely on various actors from the Cardano ecosystem and draw on the best experiences from similar initiatives.
Our first experience in Cardano as a community will be at the constitutional workshop in Argentina, where our delegates will form strategic alliances with figures in education and dapp creation, ensuring quality events.
All accounts will be open and auditable by everyone.
