Partisia Blockchain is a unique blockchain that has two main innovation that can integrate with Cardano. A secure cross-chain bridge and a customizable Multiparty computation (MPC) smart contract language
Through this, we will help bring two value into the Cardano Ecosystem
- Empower Cardano builders to be able to create data privacy based applications through MPC smart contracts and pay for it using the ADA token
- Add additional cross-chain liquidity opportunities by enabling ADA tokens to be a transaction gas token in Partisia Blockchain
These two innovations, once integrated into Cardano enable two value proposition into the Cardano Ecosystem. The ability to use the ADA token in other ecosystems as payment and the ability for Cardano developers to create customized MPC based solutions into their dApps.
The solution will involve two smart contracts. One on the Cardano side and one on the Partisia Blockchain side, with a double bookkeeping mint and burn system. The contracts will also allow the bridged ADA token to be usable as transaction gas in the ecosystem, enabling ADA token holders to pay for MPC computation on the chain using the ADA tokens.

The main benefit to the Cardano community will be that we will be able to bring real scalable privacy solutions into the Cardano ecosystem.
From private auctions to enable a better RWA product, enable auditable privatized transfers in blockchain, enable private data to be usable in DePin solutions, enable activation of user data while maintaining privacy.
The value we bring is the ability for the Cardano ecosystem to develop dApps that are not buildable in other blockchains, making Cardano a unique ecosystem to enable many real world use cases that is not possible in the current web3 ecosystem due to the fully transparent nature of blockchains.

Partisia has over 35 years of research experience in MPC and have already created the computational layer to enable MPC in mainnet, which was launched in May 2022.

Select the best approach for Reading Cardano State.
- The Collateralized BYOC Bridge needs a decentralized and stable way of reading the state & transactions of the Cardona Blockchain to mirror relevant parts of the state on Partisia Blockchain. We need to select the optimal approach for reading the state with minimal risks and minimal requirements for the node operators that are to run the software that reads the state.
Select the best technology for automated testing of the Cardano-side.
- All Partisia software, including bridges have comprehensive automated testing suites that ensure they work as intended. We need to find the optimal set-up for creating automated testing of the Cardano-side. This set-up should be semantically equivalent to mainnet Cardano, easy to use and able to run locally inside our pipelines.

Implement the Cardano-side of Bridge Smart Contracts
- This will involve the coding of the smart contract in Cardano's side to ensure proper reading of state is done. This will involve both reading of state as well as coding of accessing RPC providers.

- Thorough automated testing of the Bridge solution. Create a fully automated test that ensures that the bridge solution works as intended in a large set of scenarios.
