What is the problem you want to solve?
Many Catalyst proposals fail due to unclear writing or weak structure. New proposers struggle to meet requirements, leading to preventable rejections.
Does your project have any dependencies on other organizations, technical or otherwise?
Yes
Describe any dependencies or write 'No dependencies'
GPT-based NLP APIs , Hosting infrastructure (VPS or cloud), Access to past Catalyst proposal datasets
Will your project's outputs be fully open source?
Yes
License and Additional Information
codebase and scoring algorithm will be MIT licensed to encourage contribution and transparency.
Please choose the most relevant theme and tag related to the outcomes of your proposal

Mention your open source license and describe your open source license rationale.
We will use the MIT License, a permissive open-source license that allows anyone to use, modify, and distribute the code with minimal restrictions while requiring attribution. The rationale for this choice is to encourage widespread adoption of the AI review tool within the Cardano ecosystem, enabling both developers and community members to adapt it for their own needs without legal barriers.
How do you make sure your source code is accessible to the public from project start, and people are informed?
From day one, all source code will be hosted on a public GitHub repository under the MIT License. The repository link will be shared via Catalyst channels, Cardano forums, Telegram groups, and Ethiopian crypto community social media. Updates and new releases will be communicated through regular progress posts to ensure transparency and awareness.
How will you provide high quality documentation?
We will create comprehensive, user-friendly documentation hosted in the GitHub repository, including:
Installation and setup guides
API references
Example use cases and screenshots
Troubleshooting section
Additionally, we will record short tutorial videos and publish them on YouTube to make onboarding easier for non-technical users. Documentation will be updated alongside every major release.
Please describe your proposed solution and how it addresses the problem
Rate My Proposal is a web-based AI review assistant for Catalyst proposers. Users paste their draft, and the tool provides instant feedback based on real Catalyst review criteria, highlighting missing details, vague statements, and unclear budgeting. It aims to boost proposal quality before submission.
Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community
Better proposals = better funded projects = stronger Cardano ecosystem. By lowering the barrier for newcomers, especially from underrepresented regions like Ethiopia, we help diversify innovation and strengthen community trust in Catalyst.
What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?
I have experience in web app development and have collaborated with local AI developers. The Ethiopia crypto community offers a ready test group. With open-source principles and AI expertise, we can deliver this in 6 months.
Milestone Title
Research & Dataset Preparation
Milestone Outputs
A de-identified corpus of past Catalyst proposals and reviews organized into a clean schema; mapped rubric of common evaluator criteria; first version of the scoring framework (structure, clarity, impact, feasibility, budget) with prompt templates; privacy & ethics note on dataset handling; baseline benchmark plan to test AI suggestions against sample proposals.
Acceptance Criteria
Dataset passes de-identification checks (no personal data), minimum 1,000 labeled sections for calibration, rubric covers all core Catalyst fields, and the v1 scoring framework can generate consistent section scores across ten diverse test proposals with less than 10% variance between repeated runs. Documentation is complete and reviewed.
Evidence of Completion
Public repo folder containing the rubric, data schema, and prompt templates; redacted sample records; a short benchmarking report (PDF) with test cases and variance stats; changelog entry and signed-off checklist confirming privacy review and readiness for prototype integration.

How does the cost of the project represent value for the Cardano ecosystem?
A single tool can block low-quality proposals, saving review time and boosting high-impact funding. With open-source reuse, low costs, Ethiopia’s community reach, and clear milestones, it offers strong, lasting ROI for Cardano.
