[Your Project and Solution] Solution
Please describe your proposed solution and how it addresses the problem
UN agencies and development orgs often have dozens if not hundreds of programmes and country offices worldwide, offering Cardano dapps an ideal culture-aligned platform to test their impact-focused solutions and scale them in real-world environments and with real-world problems and use-cases.
The virtual Blockchain4Good Summit democratises access to these key decision-makers, weighing this ecosystem heavily towards the Global South, where startups and innovators often don't have the funds or get visas to attend key international summits. The Blockchain4Good virtual summit is where human-centred tech empowers sustainable development.
Virtual summits, ft 15+ Cardano startups or ecosystem orgs have already been held in October 2024 and April 2025 (see stats in infographic below). The organising team have refined their skills and programming, adding new events like Random Matchmaking, an Exhibitor Hall and much more. The attendance has grown into four digits, with 25+ key orgs represented.
Major Features:
- Panels with focus on solutions offered by Cardano dapps (verification, payments, impact measurement staking pools etc)
- Showcase of Cf x UNDP and Emurgo x UNDP projects, including the SDG Blockchain Accelerator
- Expanded exhibition Hall with many more sponsor and Cardano booths
- Random Matchmaking between senior development/philanthropic managers and Cardano dapps and stakeholders
- Startup competition with a prize sponsored by a separate partner to help Cardano startups showcase their work to the sector

[Your Project and Solution] Impact
Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community
- This dialogue and collaboration between development/humanitarian agencies and the Cardano ecosystem will lead to access to scale and new use cases of how blockchain technology supports the goals of the aid agencies, governments and investors: all in the Cardano ecosystem!
- Blockchain4Good 1.0 and 2.0 promoted 15+ Cardano impact-driven startups and organisations including: Empowa, Emurgo, Project Catalyst, Cardano Foundation Landano, Socious, DigiFarm, NMKR, Andamio and Palmyra/Zengate. Many of these led to partnerships.
- Many benefits to the ecosystem were recognised by Cardano Foundation CEO Frederik Gregaard in his Keynote Speech at Blockchain4Good 2.0
- This virtual summit will reinforce Project Catalyst and Cardano as a solution to major aid agencies, development banks, regulators and innovators at a time when many openings exist due to the international funding crisis
- Connect startups and solution providers in housing, jobs, green energy, DeFI, health and many other sectors with UN agencies and INGOs where solutions can be piloted for international development. Chance to continue to claim, building on existing efforts, a large stake in the disruption of a multi-billion (trillion with family offices?) dollar philanthropy and international development spheres
- The impact investor focused events will give Cardano startups the opportunity to tap into new pressed and seed funding
- Chance for Cardano lobbyists to directly influence regulators, government agencies, and policy
- Blockchain4Good 3.0 aims to scale to include X6-8 (AT LEAST) major Cardano startups or ecosystem speakers as core summit participants: in speakers, firesidechats, startup pitches and VIP Matchmaking with major problem providers and potential scale partners
- New! Project Catalyst, Emurgo and Cardano Foundation will be offered a space to showcase past projects
- X4-6 key major virtual panels, each one with at least x1 Cardano ecosystem rep or startup speaker
- Blockchain4Good 3.0 will broaden the remit and seek to develop new fields of partnership, Inc: Academic, Media, Tech, NFT, Food etc
- Vision: develop several editions throughout 2026 in order to capture momentum4impact in next major bull run. Keep Cardano at the heart of the journey

[Final Pitch] Value for Money
How does the cost of the project represent value for the Cardano ecosystem?
The value proposition consists of several factors:
- Connects core Cardano ecosystem players to the heart of problems they can fix in a multi-billion dollar industry, with great value for money!
- Showcases some of the best in the Cardano ecosystem to key potential clients, investors and influencers in the philanthropy/international development sector
- Project Catalyst funding ensures the event remains Cardano-centric and continues to be a gateway for the ecosystem to new business
- Bringing new impact investors to the ecosystem via a neutral platform like Blockchain4Good will give Cardano startups new and accessible gateways to funding
- Huge value to the Cardano ecosystem in bringing major players shaping SDG policy and implementation work into the same ‘room’ under a Cardano banner.
- Hosting the event in a virtual space reduces the costs and is low carbon
- Reinforces social impact and SDG-driven value-add of Cardano
- The project will bring urgent and real world use case applications and business challenges that can be solved on the Cardano blockchain, also engaging the Cardano Community and Ecosystem.
