Please describe your proposed solution and how it addresses the problem
We will deliver a 5-month onboarding sprint through Yeneta Blockchain Academy, offering weekly beginner-friendly Cardano classes, wallet setup support, quizzes, token rewards, and active community engagement. This directly addresses the educational and adoption gap by making Cardano accessible, relatable, and rewarding for African learners through localized, hands-on guidance and community support.
Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community
This project will significantly expand Cardano’s grassroots adoption in Africa by onboarding 1,000+ new users through accessible education and wallet creation. By focusing on beginners, we’re building long-term community members, not just short-term users.
Positive Impact on Cardano Community:
Drives wallet growth and on-chain activity across a new region.
Builds a local learning ecosystem to sustain Cardano’s visibility.
Creates a new pool of builders, holders, and advocates from Africa.
Increases brand trust and real-world utility of Cardano in emerging markets.
How We'll Measure It:
Number of wallets created and ADA transactions initiated.
Number of weekly class attendees and community engagements.
Pre- and post-surveys to track learning progress.
Participant feedback, stories, and testimonials.
Growth in Telegram/Discord members, TikTok/YouTube views, and mailing list sign-ups.
How We’ll Share the Results:
Publish a monthly open report (Google Docs & GitHub).
Share video recaps, live recordings, and success stories on Telegram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
Submit a final public review + closeout report with visual metrics.
Share content and guides with other African communities and Catalyst-funded projects to encourage replication.
What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?
We have the right infrastructure, experience, and community trust to deliver this project.
Why We're Best Suited:
Yeneta Blockchain Academy has been actively teaching blockchain, Web3, and Cardano basics to African audiences for over a year.
Our team includes experienced educators, community organizers, and marketing specialists.
We’ve previously organized workshops, hackathons, and events under Cardano Unleashed, and partnered with Catalyst-funded initiatives.
Validation of Feasibility:
We already have a Telegram community (1.3K+), TikTok audience (2K+), and weekly engagement.
We’ve piloted onboarding sessions and know what works culturally and technically.
Our curriculum and outreach methods are tested and tailored for African learners.
Trust & Accountability:
Funds will be managed transparently under a dedicated multisig wallet with clear roles and approvals.
We’ll issue monthly updates to the Catalyst community, including:
Progress reports
Budget breakdowns
Screenshots of wallet creation & class attendance
We commit to delivering open resources, videos, and a final closeout report.
This project builds on what we’ve already started — with Catalyst’s support, we’ll now do it at scale.

How does the cost of the project represent value for the Cardano ecosystem?
This project offers exceptional value by leveraging local expertise, grassroots infrastructure, and low operational costs to deliver high-impact onboarding and education in Ethiopia, one of Africa's fastest-growing blockchain communities.
Lean Local Budgeting: The average monthly tech wage in Ethiopia ranges between 8,000–12,000 ETB (120–200 USD). Our team rate of 1,500 ADA per month (200 USD) is aligned with fair local compensation, ensuring professional delivery without inflated costs.
High Output per ADA: With 42,000 ADA, we’ll reach over 1,000 learners, host 5+ events, onboard hundreds of wallets, and create evergreen educational content that will remain open and reusable.
No expensive hardware/software costs: We maximize open-source tools and platforms (Telegram, Zoom, Canva, GitHub) and only use minimal paid services for visibility and impact.
Long-term ecosystem ROI: This program is not a one-off campaign. It builds community infrastructure (ambassadors, content, workflows) that continues to educate and onboard new Cardano users long after funding ends.
Community-driven transparency: All activities, costs, and outputs will be documented and shared with the Catalyst community, maintaining full transparency and accountability.
