A minimum of 150 people will be onboarded, with at least 30 from each sector. Workshop attendance lists and participant feedback reports will be provided with at least five active sector-specific interest groups and partnerships (one per sector) committed to exploring Cardano applications.
Please describe your proposed solution and how it addresses the problem
To address the limited awareness and understanding of blockchain specifically Cardano among key institutional actors in Ghana, we proposes a structured, six-month educational and onboarding outreach campaign. This initiative is designed to engage five critical professional sectors: Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Teachers, Health Professionals, Accountants, and Legal Practitioners. These groups are strategically selected for their influence in shaping national discourse, policy implementation and community engagement. By equipping them with the knowledge and tools to explore and adopt Cardano-based solutions, the project aims to create ripple effects across the broader economy and governance systems.
The recent announcement by Ghana’s Central Bank to regulate cryptocurrencies provides a timely and enabling environment for this initiative. It signals a green light for responsible blockchain engagement, making it even more necessary for the Cardano Ghana community to proactively support key sectors in understanding and adopting decentralized technologies. The goal is to explain the potentials of Cardano blockchain and foster localized ecosystem growth through direct engagement, tailored learning materials and sector-relevant use cases. This solution goes beyond general blockchain education by offering targeted workshops and curated content that speak directly to the needs, workflows and pain points of each institutional group. From demonstrating how Cardano can support transparent record-keeping for legal professionals, to exploring its use in secure data management for healthcare workers, every workshop will be sector-specific and practically oriented.
Implementation Strategy
The project will be implemented over a six-month period, structured into two main phases. Each workshop will cover the following topics:
Phase 1: Planning and Institutional Coordination (Month 1)
The first month will focus on comprehensive planning and institutional engagement. This includes:
• Finalizing the project team structure and roles.
• Reaching out to associations and leadership bodies within the five target sectors to confirm interest and collaboration.
• Finalizing workshop curricula tailored to each sector.
• Scheduling venues, dates, and logistics for the physical workshops.
• Developing branding and communication materials to support outreach.
This phase will ensure that all five sectors are committed and that activities are properly synchronized with local calendars, sector events and availability of target participants.
Phase 2: Workshop Delivery and Sectorial Engagement (Months 2–6)
Each of the remaining five months will focus on onboarding one institutional/enterprise group per month through a structured educational campaign.
For each target sector:
• Workshops: We will organize in-person workshops (with possible hybrid options) featuring interactive sessions, live demos and practical discussions on Cardano applications within that profession.
• Tailored Educational Materials: We will distribute sector-specific guides, infographics and onboarding kits that simplify blockchain concepts and highlight real-world Cardano use cases relevant to that group.
• Stakeholder Engagement: We will identify and engage influential stakeholders within each sector (e.g., association heads, policy influencers) to act as advocates and representative post-workshop.
• Follow-up and Feedback: After each workshop, we will conduct surveys and follow-up interviews to gather insights, track understanding and assess readiness for next steps such as developer engagement or pilot project design.
These workshops will be complemented by online communication, including recap videos, summaries and spotlight features of participant testimonials to ensure that learning are amplified beyond the physical event.
Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community
Expansion of Cardano Awareness Across Key Sectors
By directly engaging professionals from five strategic sectors; SMEs, teachers, health professionals, accountants and legal practitioners, the project will significantly broaden awareness of Cardano in Ghana. These individuals often serve as influencers within their institutions and communities, creating ripple effects that extend Cardano’s visibility well beyond the initial 150 participants.
Creation of a Sector-Aligned User Base
The project will build a diverse, foundational user base with varying use cases tailored to each sector. This diversity opens up opportunities for Cardano developers and dApp builders to explore real-world problem statements and develop solutions grounded in sector-specific needs. This can accelerate local adoption of Cardano tools and services.
Strengthened Local Ecosystem and Community Formation
Each workshop will act as a catalyst for micro-communities within the broader Cardano Ghana community. These institutional representatives can form interest groups, join working groups (e.g., governance, infrastructure, education), or even initiate proposals themselves in future Catalyst rounds strengthening community-led growth.
Increased Credibility and Institutional Trust in Cardano
Engaging professional institutions with tailored content fosters trust and positions Cardano as a serious, credible and future-ready blockchain. Demonstrating sector-specific benefits like data integrity for legal practitioners or transparent accounting for SMEs will show Cardano as a solution, not just a technology.
Opportunities for Cross-Sector Innovation and Collaboration
Bringing professionals from diverse but interconnected sectors into the Cardano ecosystem will open doors to collaborative ideas and interdisciplinary innovation. For example, legal and accounting professionals may jointly explore blockchain compliance tools, while health professionals and SMEs may co-develop data management solutions.
In Summary
This project will not only educate and onboard 150 professionals into the Cardano ecosystem but also activate a new wave of local leadership and innovation. By targeting institutions that shape Ghana’s social and economic fabric, the initiative strengthens Cardano’s position as a transformative tool for real-world impact, laying the foundation for sustainable ecosystem growth, developer engagement and collaborative innovation in West Africa.
What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?
Team Capacity and Track Record
The project is led by a highly experienced team with a strong, verifiable track record in the Cardano ecosystem. Seidu Ziblim and Mohammed Mustapah, both seasoned and active members of the Cardano community bring proven leadership and execution capabilities. Together, they have successfully led and completed five Catalyst-funded projects, each contributing directly to Cardano’s visibility, education, and ecosystem development in Ghana. Both founded the Cardano Ghana Community.
In previous initiatives, the team has onboarded over 500 students and entrepreneurs through structured programs, community outreach, and education events. These efforts demonstrate not only logistical competence but also a deep understanding of local dynamics and how to translate blockchain concepts into relatable, impactful formats for diverse audiences.
Their consistent engagement as sessional contributors within the global Cardano community further adds credibility and ensures alignment with the broader ecosystem’s standards and expectations.
Project Viability and Practical Design
The design of the project is highly viable due to its clear structure, strategic sector targeting, and phased implementation plan. The project focuses on five key institutional sectors; SMEs, teachers, health professionals, accountants, and legal practitioners which are not only influential in Ghana's socio-economic landscape but also well-positioned to adopt and advocate for Cardano use cases within their professional contexts.
The six-month implementation timeline with one month dedicated to planning and stakeholder coordination, followed by five months of targeted sectorial engagement ensures a manageable and methodical rollout. This approach allows for continuous learning, adaptation, and maximization of impact with minimal risk of logistical overload.
In addition, the in-person workshop format and tailored educational materials have already been tested and proven effective in previous Cardano Ghana initiatives. These delivery methods are culturally appropriate, responsive to infrastructural realities, and capable of fostering deep engagement and long-term interest.
Conclusion
With a capable and experienced team, a history of successful project delivery, and a carefully structured, context-aware implementation plan, this project is not only feasible but poised for strong execution and measurable impact. It builds on a solid foundation of local credibility, global community alignment, and a practical understanding of how to drive real-world Cardano adoption in Ghana’s key institutions.
