[Your Project and Solution] Solution
Please describe your proposed solution and how it addresses the problem
The blockchain industry is rapidly moving toward a stage of maturity and real-time implementation. Leaving its founding years behind and entering into a new phase, marked not only by retail enthusiasm but also by deep institutional alignment, the tokenization of real-world assets is moving from concept to execution.
After a year covering the most important regional news and events for Cointelegraph en Español, one thing has become clear to me: Latin America is not falling behind. According to the recent data from Chainalysis, Latin America, accounting for 9.1% of the crypto market in 2024, is the second fastest-growing region in adoption, with approximately 42% year-over-year growth.
Thanks to our fragile, inflationary economies and the openness of national governments when exploring crypto-friendly regulations and frameworks, the world has turned its attention to our region. Blockchain projects, companies, and foundations are launching regional expansions and establishing themselves in Latin America.
The goal of this proposal is to complement the efforts that Cardano is already undertaking in the region—with the recent opening of IO offices in Buenos Aires—and create, through a high-value network of Web3 and Web2 contacts and a strategic outreach approach, a commercial funnel that successfully catalyzes real use cases for Cardano.
The idea is to step out of the Web3 and Crypto Twitter echo chamber. Convinced that true Web3 marketing is out there and is mostly about education and guidance, MAÍZ’s proposal is to offer the Cardano ecosystem a professional onboarding platform with a real impact on the private and institutional sector: companies, foundations, and startups that are not yet part of the crypto world.
Finally, and in order to counteract tribalism and Web3 isolation, the proposal includes sharing grass-root community spaces with the vibrant, native Latin American Web3 ecosystem, where we will foster cross-chain collaboration and position Cardano as a key player in the crypto industry landscape.
[Your Project and Solution] Impact
Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community
With a special focus on Argentina, Uruguay, México and Colombia, the project aims to expand the Cardano ecosystem and the implementation and adoption of its technology, bringing real use cases from the Latin American region.
The project is designed to work on communication and promotion of Cardano’s technology and the opportunities its ecosystem offers in four distinct areas: 1) AGRO, 2) Companies and Corporations, 3) Fintech and Web3, and 4) DeSci and Institutional Education.
Targeted KPI’s for Institutional Adoption:
- 200+ qualified leads (50 per sector) with 5+ high-priority stakeholders onboarded.
- 12 published articles in LatAm niche media outlets.
- 40+ personalized interviews and 4 webinars produced and shared.
- 6 sector-specific newsletters distributed to MAÍZ’s network (250+ high-value contacts)
As the project seeks to promote Web2 and Web3 integration, it also intends to foster regional cross-chain collaboration, encouraging Cardano to open up to the regional crypto ecosystem, at a time when Latin America is becoming a key player in the global blockchain industry.
Targeted KPI’s for Community Engagement:
- Community engagement metrics: 5 X Spaces (30+ attendees each from different crypto grass-root communities) , 4 Catalyst Town Hall presentations, 5k+ aggregate views on social media activity.
[Your Project and Solution] Capabilities & Feasibility
What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?
The project's team has over 25+ years of experience working in the communication industry for big brands and corporations.
We designed this proposal after three years of exploring the opportunities offered by blockchain technology and understanding the need to establish a linguistic and cultural bridge to help blockchain projects and companies scale in the Latin American region and the importance of education when it comes to Web 3 Marketing.
We've been two years communicating the efforts of SingularityNET, now ASI Alliance, in the region—achieving a 1000% growth in Latin American community participation in Deep Funding in the last funding round—and after a year covering the most important crypto news and events in the region for Cointelegraph en Español, I am positive we can help Cardano successfully scale and expand its adoption in our region.
To ensure feasibility, the project’s milestone design is focused on deliverables that can be verified and audited through concrete outputs and contemplates a community grass-root communication strategy. If there’s one thing we’ve learned from our experience in Web3, it’s that communication within the ecosystem is a fundamental part of a project’s success.
In the team introduction section, we share detailed information where our track record, experience, and high-quality regional network can be verified.
