Who you’re targeting, how you’ll reach them, and why this matters for Cardano.
Cardano DEX users, Python developers, and CEX traders seeking DeFi opportunities. We'll reach them through GitHub collaboration, technical workshops, and our existing 150+ member trading community. This strengthens DEX liquidity, native token adoption, and ecosystem sophistication.
Provide a list of key activities of your project?
We will expand Python bot development tutorials specifically for Cardano stablecoins, provide hummingbot tutorials for Cardano DEXes and UTXO architecture, create cross-platform arbitrage guides, build bot marketplace for strategy sharing, develop stablecoin yield optimization content, establish developer mentorship programs, host practical trading workshops.
What are your success metrics?
Please describe your proposed solution and how it addresses the problem
Cardano's DeFi ecosystem has seen impressive growth helped by Catalyst funding and a passionate community, with about a dozen DEXes to choose from, native stablecoins USDA, USDM and Djed, and its most actively traded native tokens like SNEK, WMT, IAG, MIN and INDY. Still, TVL and stablecoin volume lack far behind some other Layer-1 blockchains and we do not yet have the advanced trading communities that drive liquidity and innovation. While Ethereum and Solana boast vibrant communities of algorithmic traders, market makers, and bot strategists, Cardano remains dominated by ADA holding and staking and is rarely tagged on Github or forums for these trader or bot communities.
Our successful Fund-11 "Native Token Data Portal" project proved there is demand for accessible, open source Python backtesting, sophisticated trading tools and community among Cardano traders. We delivered a comprehensive backtesting platform based on Zipline and Backtrader libraries, provided an API, and collaborative environment where traders share their scripts, strategies, and market analysis for active native tokens. The main opportunity is however only just emerging: stablecoins as the “inverse of ADA”, opening further DeFi opportunties for liquidity providers and yield seekers. While many traders enjoy the liquidity and sometimes explosive volatility of our native ADA on CEX versus the dollar, this is largely ignored on Cardano DEXes although attractive market making incentives, yield farming opportunities exist. This could unlock far larger liquidity for stablecoins, will could easily become a benign feedback loop to bring some of this huge volume home to Cardano and give our DEXes the much needed liquidity, profitability and TVL boost.
Scaling the Fund-11 Dataportal
The Big Opportunity: Stablecoin momentum and CEX-to-DEX migration. Massive ADA/USD trading volume exists on centralized exchanges. Our education and community portal delivered through the existing landing page, Github repo and campaign targeting the Hummingbot community will help the migration of some of this liquidity. By introducing open source tools for bot trading and arbitrage strategies focusing on the inverse of ADA/USD stablecoin trading, arbitrage and automated market making, we create profitable opportunities with the potential to dramatically increasing DEX volume. Example: If ADA/USD moves from 0.50 to 1.00, USDM on Dexhunter moves from 2.00 to 1.00 – unlike for “boring” stablecoins like USDT that move within 0.001% of $1 cash on exchanges, this trades like ADA/USD but offers the advantages of decentralized finance like market making and liquidity pools. Together with outright ADA versus fiat, this creates a trading environment where long and short signals can be pursued without borrowing, allowing the creation of new innovative liquidity pools and trading venues without trusted parties or a central clearing house.

USDM listed as the inverse of ADA/USD on DEX-routing Dexhunter – volatility and liquidity of the first order
Advanced Bot Education: Comprehensive tutorials adapting proven frameworks such as the largely popular Hummingbot for Cardano's UTXO architecture. Practical implementations leveraging Cardano's deterministic fees, batch transactions, and native token characteristics.
Cross-Platform Strategies: Specialized content on capturing arbitrage between ADA/USD on CEXes and ADA/stablecoin pairs on Cardano DEXes. Practical guides for DeFi optimization and AMMs (automated market making) or order book that benefits both traders and ecosystem liquidity.
Bot Marketplace: free and friendly community platform where developers share, validate, and improve trading algorithms. Features peer review, performance metrics, and collaborative improvement - following successful models from the broader algorithmic trading community.
UTXO-Specific Technical Focus: Addressing Cardano advantages including transaction batching for efficiency, deterministic fee calculations for predictable profits, and native token handling for complex multi-asset strategies.
Cross-Ecosystem Trader Recruitment: Targeting experienced DeFi traders from Ethereum, Solana, and traditional markets who can recognize Cardano's unique profit opportunities but lack ecosystem-specific knowledge. Our campaigns will demonstrate concrete arbitrage opportunities and cross-DEX aggregators (for example Dexhunter and MuesliSwap).
Market Making Enhancement: Facilitating community-driven market making initiatives that improve liquidity for native tokens while generating sustainable returns for participants. Our data science expertise enables sophisticated risk management and performance optimization.
Hummingbot code will be easy to write by most quantitative traders, students of our Dataportal project from Fund-11 and even less technical DeFi participants. Below is a sample code snippet showing typical scripts as will be shared during our workshops and on bot forums:

Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community
This educational initiative will deliver measurable improvements across multiple dimensions of Cardano's DeFi ecosystem, strengthening both individual trading outcomes and collective infrastructure.
Developer Skill Enhancement:
Our comprehensive educational program will significantly expand the pool of developers capable of building sophisticated trading applications on Cardano. Target outcomes include engaging 100+ developers in structured learning programs covering Python frameworks like Hummingbot, Freqtrade, and Jesse adapted for Cardano's UTXO model. These developers will gain practical skills in cross-platform arbitrage, automated market making, and yield optimization that directly translate to improved ecosystem functionality.
Educational content will progress from foundational concepts to advanced implementation, ensuring participants can contribute meaningfully to Cardano's trading infrastructure. Success will be measured through practical outcomes: developers successfully deploying trading strategies, contributing improvements to DEX APIs, and sharing validated algorithms through our marketplace platform.
Ecosystem Liquidity and Trading Sophistication:
Enhanced trading education directly supports increased liquidity across Cardano's decentralized exchanges and native token markets. As more traders understand how to implement sophisticated strategies like stablecoin arbitrage and cross-platform market making, natural market forces will increase trading volume and improve price discovery for native assets.
Our educational approach focuses on strategies that create positive-sum outcomes. For example, teaching traders how to capture arbitrage opportunities between centralized and decentralized exchanges naturally increases DEX volume while providing sustainable profit opportunities. Similarly, automated market making education helps participants earn yields while improving liquidity for other ecosystem users.
Knowledge Infrastructure Development:
The bot marketplace and educational platform will create lasting infrastructure that benefits the ecosystem beyond immediate participants. Target outcomes include establishing a library of 25+ validated trading strategies specifically designed for Cardano, comprehensive documentation enabling future developers to build upon established best practices, and collaborative tools that facilitate knowledge sharing among quantitative trading practitioners.
This infrastructure approach ensures our impact extends beyond current participants to benefit future ecosystem development. Open-source contributions, peer-reviewed strategies, and documented best practices create compound value that grows over time.
Community Engagement Metrics:
Measurable community outcomes include growing our Discord and Telegram communities from 150 to 300+ active members focused on algorithmic trading education and collaboration. Monthly workshops and code sharing sessions will engage 25+ consistent participants in practical learning activities. Educational content will reach 2,000+ monthly views across platforms, indicating broad interest and knowledge dissemination.
Community engagement will be measured through practical outcomes rather than vanity metrics. Success includes participants successfully implementing learned strategies, contributing improvements to shared codebases, and mentoring other community members through collaborative learning programs.
Cross-Platform Integration Benefits:
Educational focus on bridging centralized and decentralized trading environments creates unique value for Cardano's ecosystem. As traders learn to capture opportunities across platforms, natural market forces will direct increased attention and capital toward Cardano's native infrastructure. This organic growth approach creates sustainable ecosystem strengthening rather than temporary promotional effects.
Long-Term Strategic Impact:
Success of this educational initiative establishes Cardano as a preferred platform for sophisticated algorithmic trading, attracting quantitative traders and developers who value technical excellence and educational resources. A community of skilled bot developers creates lasting competitive advantages, as these participants become advocates and contributors to ongoing ecosystem development.
The combination of technical education, practical implementation support, and collaborative community building creates sustainable growth patterns that strengthen Cardano's position in the broader DeFi landscape while providing immediate value to participants.
