Who you’re targeting, how you’ll reach them, and why this matters for Cardano.
We are focusing on Vietnamese developers, especially those from Web2 backgrounds—full-stack, frontend, or backend engineers who are eager to learn blockchain development but are deterred by English-only materials. This includes both beginner and intermediate learners interested in smart contracts and decentralized applications on Cardano.
How We’ll Reach Them:
Distribute the Vietnamese-language curriculum via key local channels:
• Cardano Blockchain Vietnam meetup group on Meetup (925 members).
• Developer communities such as Cardano Builder Vietnam
Provide a list of key activities of your project?
1. Curriculum Design & Structuring
2. Content Development in Vietnamese
3. Publishing Across Multiple Formats
4. Early Community Review & Feedback
5. Launch & Outreach: Upon completion, the curriculum will be officially launched
6. Tracking Usage & Engagement
7. Long-Term Maintenance & Community Collaboration
8. Clear Documentation & Licensing
What are your success metrics?
1. Availability & Accessibility Metrics
Total Available Formats: Ensure material is accessible from Day 1 in at least three formats PDF, markdown (GitHub), and a web-friendly version.
Rationale: This aligns with Cardano’s emphasis on multilingual.
2. Website Views: Target 1,000 unique visits to the web version.
Rationale: These metrics indicate real adoption and community interest, crucial for measuring grassroots
3. Pull Requests from Community: Expect at least 40 pull requests or community-contributed improvements within 6 months.
Please describe your proposed solution and how it addresses the problem
We propose to develop the first open-access Vietnamese-speaking curriculum for Aiken development, tailored for both beginner and intermediate developers. This structured educational resource will:
Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community
Vietnam is a leader in crypto adoption, with nearly 17% of the population using cryptocurrencies and placing among the global top in adoption rates. However, most existing educational materials are in English, creating a key language barrier. Our project will:
What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?
I have over 3 years of hands-on experience in blockchain development and developer documentation. I have contributed to Web3 education programs and written technical resources for ecosystems such as Sui, NEAR, and Move, helping hundreds of developers onboard into new languages and frameworks.
For this project, I will apply the same expertise to create a dedicated onboarding resource for Aiken developers. The feasibility of this approach is supported by my previous success in producing developer documentation that has been widely adopted and positively received. To validate, I will gather early feedback from developers in the Aiken community and refine the content to ensure it is practical, accurate, and impactful.
Milestone Title
Curriculum Framework & Resource Setup
Milestone Outputs
The first milestone will deliver a comprehensive curriculum framework written in Vietnamese, carefully structured to guide learners step-by-step from initial environment setup to deploying Aiken smart contracts on Cardano. This will include a chapter breakdown that ensures a logical progression: installation, syntax, testing, best practices, and deployment. Alongside the curriculum design, a public GitHub repository will be launched on Day 1 to host all project assets.
The repository will include an initial folder structure, a clear README, and a Creative Commons BY-4.0 license declaration to ensure openness and transparency from the beginning. By completing this milestone, the foundation is set for all subsequent content development, guaranteeing that the project starts with a strong, transparent, and collaborative base.
Acceptance Criteria
• Logical progression between chapters is evident and suitable for both beginners and intermediate learners.
• GitHub repository must be public, accessible, and licensed under CC BY-4.0.
• README must describe goals, structure, and guidelines in a way that external contributors can understand without explanation.
• External reviewers should be able to verify access and confirm openness without needing internal approval.
Evidence of Completion
• Screenshots confirming repo accessibility, file structure, and licensing.

Milestone Title
Core Lesson Development & Aiken Module Demos
Milestone Outputs
At this milestone, the focus is on building the first set of core lessons—the backbone for learners to start coding smart contracts in Aiken. We won’t stop at theory; there will be concrete module demos, e.g., a simple token minter, a basic validator, and a basic escrow smart contract. Lessons will be written in Vietnamese, following a step-by-step style with detailed explanation of every line of code, similar to formal tutorials but localized for the Vietnamese community. To avoid “watch-and-forget” issues, each lesson will include interactive exercises prebuilt in the repo, so learners can pull and run them themselves.
The GitHub repo from Milestone 1 will now be populated with lessons/core/, each lesson folder containing:
• Markdown guide file.
• Fully compilable Aiken demo code.
• Test cases for learners to run.
This milestone will also include developer guidelines so future collaborators can contribute or review lessons according to common standards.
Acceptance Criteria
• At least 5 complete core lessons, covering basic syntax → writing small contracts → testing.
• Each lesson includes Markdown instructions, runnable code sample, and test cases.
• Demo smart contracts (minter, validator, escrow) run successfully via Aiken CLI, verified by independent contributors.
• Repo has a clear contributors section (CONTRIBUTING.md).
• All content licensed under CC BY-4.0.
Evidence of Completion
• Link to repo with lessons/core/ populated.
• Screenshots showing test cases passing.
• Public commit history proving open-source development.
• Short video clip (YouTube unlisted) showing demo contract execution.

Tutorials & Community Review
Milestone Outputs
people need to watch and follow along. Therefore, this milestone will produce the first set of videos, including screen recording, live coding, and voiceover in Vietnamese, with English subtitles for a wider audience.
Simultaneously, we will launch a community review process: opening GitHub issue templates so anyone can provide feedback or request clarification. A dedicated Discord/Telegram channel will allow learners to discuss directly with the team. This creates a 2-way feedback loop rather than a one-way knowledge transfer.
Acceptance Criteria
• Minimum 5 video tutorials covering Milestone 2 lessons.
• Video must have Vietnamese voiceover + English subtitles.
• Repo updated with links to videos in each lesson.
• Community review channel active, with at least 30 members and 10 valid feedback submissions.
• Issue template merged into main repo, demonstrating open review.
Evidence of Completion
• Public YouTube playlist containing 5 videos.
• Screenshots showing community channel membership count.
• Public GitHub issues with feedback log.
• Links to lesson files updated with video references.

Final Publication, Outreach & Sustainability
Milestone Outputs
The final milestone packages all outputs into the final deliverable and ensures sustainability. All lessons (core + advanced), video tutorials, and guidelines will be edited into an official open-source learning hub. GitHub repo will include a homepage docs (MkDocs or Docusaurus) for easy navigation.
A public online workshop will introduce the results and guide new developers on getting started. Recording will be uploaded publicly. This milestone also establishes a sustainability plan: assigning a maintainer team, opening calls for contributors, and setting up GitHub funding/sponsor options so the community can maintain the project post-Catalyst funding.
Acceptance Criteria
• Repo contains all core + advanced lessons, video references, and security guidelines.
• Public workshop with at least 50 attendees.
• Workshop recording uploaded publicly.
• Maintainer list + sustainability plan visible in repo.
Evidence of Completion
• Workshop recording link.
• Screenshots proving attendee count.
• Repo updated with maintainer list + sustainability section.
