Seed phrases and wallet UX block mainstream adoption; dApps lose users at onboarding.
Non-custodial keys stored locally (WebCrypto, iOS Keychain/Secure Enclave, etc.) tied to auth provider login so dApps can integrate like a custodial wallet, with users retain control of keys.
This is the total amount allocated to Anvil - Semi-Custodial Wallet: Enterprise ready Wallet SDK.

Describe what makes your idea innovative compared to what has been previously funded (whether by you or others).
In our opinion, no previously funded ideas like this match the level of understanding and importance of a tool like this for Cardano adoption. We have multiple inbound clients who need an enterprise level, semi-custodial wallet option, to offer non-native crypto users an opportunity to use their dApp/app.
As a result of our work on the C-hub project (Project ID1300022), we determined it was a logical progression to expand this into a product as we see it as a viable enterprise tool, which tears down the traditional complications of wallets entriely.
Describe what your prototype or MVP will demonstrate, and where it can be accessed.
Our MVP will deliver a semi-custodial Cardano wallet SDK for Web, iOS, and Android. Private keys stay securely bound to the user’s device (Keychain, Secure Enclave, Android Keystore, or WebCrypto), giving the convenience of a custodial wallet while remaining fully non-custodial. Developers will access the SDK through a simple API, with a dApp adapter that plugs into existing Cardano connectors (CIP-30/CIP-8). The MVP will include a demo DEX integration, sample apps, and a developer portal, allowing partners and beta testers to experience login-based onboarding and transaction signing.
Describe realistic measures of success, ideally with on-chain metrics.
Please describe your proposed solution and how it addresses the problem
Track: Cardano Use Cases: Concept (closed-source)
Proposer: Anvil Development Agency Inc. — https://ada-anvil.io/team
Budget ask: 60,000 ADA
Duration: 6-7 months
Prior work: Weld (Fund11) — an open-source universal wallet connector for Cardano (https://projectcatalyst.io/funds/11/cardano-open-developers/anvil-open-source-universal-wallet-connector))
Seed phrases and traditional wallet setup block mainstream adoption. We will deliver a semi-custodial, cross-platform SDK (Web, iOS, Android) that binds non-custodial keys to familiar logins (e.g., Sign in with Apple) using platform secure enclaves/keystores. dApps integrate a simple API that feels like a custodial wallet while users retain local key control (keys never leave the device). Includes a dApp adapter and reference integration path. Supports common Cardano patterns (CIP‑30 adapter compatibility and CIP‑8 signData where applicable).
Seed phrases and wallet UX block mainstream adoption; dApps lose users at onboarding.
Solution & Scope
Non-custodial keys stored locally (WebCrypto, iOS Keychain/Secure Enclave, Android Keystore) tied to auth provider login (e.g., Apple).
Wallet behavior abstracted behind an API so dApps can integrate like a custodial wallet, while users retain control of keys.
Scope: Cross-platform SDKs, auth bindings, signing/UTXO flows, dApp adapter, and reference server APIs for orchestration.
Non-Goals: Operating a custodial service, running production backends for customers, or shipping fiat ramps. The server reference is minimal and optional.
Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community
This project tackles one of the biggest adoption blockers in Cardano: seed phrases. By delivering a near-custodial wallet SDK for Web, iOS, and Android, we make onboarding as simple as “Sign in with Apple,” while keeping keys fully non-custodial and device-bound. This lowers drop-off rates, accelerates time-to-transaction, and enables dApps to integrate users in under 90 seconds.
The impact to the community is significant: developers can build new consumer-friendly wallets without the burden of seed phrase UX, exchanges and DeFi apps can onboard thousands of users faster, and enterprise teams can integrate Cardano without maintaining custody infrastructure. The SDK can power wallets optimized for retail users, white-label fintech integrations, and high-volume transaction systems such as DEXs or NFT platforms.
By reducing onboarding friction and enabling enterprise-ready wallet flows, this project will increase transactional volume, strengthen dApp adoption, and position Cardano as a blockchain with the usability required for mainstream and enterprise adoption.
What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?
Year after year, we increase our visibility and notareiety in the Cardano develoment space. At Anvil, we have set out to be trailblazers of Cardano, and diminish the gap between web2 and web3. We create our solutions with every developer in mind and we pride ourselves in the work we do under these community grants. We know our approach is feasible because we have internal consensus as a team and firmly believe in this product.
From our conversations with clients this is a must have item in the Cardano ecosystem and this funding will allow us to create not only a solution we would use, but the entire Cardano community can.

Please provide a cost breakdown of the proposed work and resources
How does the cost of the project represent value for the Cardano ecosystem?
For a total budget of 60,000 ADA, the project will produce fully functional Web, iOS, and Android SDKs, a developer-friendly dApp adapter compatible with CIP‑30 and CIP‑8 standards, recovery and device linking flows, and comprehensive developer documentation. This toolkit enables dApp teams to integrate wallet functionality with minimal friction, accelerating onboarding, reducing drop-off by over 50%, and supporting rapid transaction flow across pilot applications. By providing secure, device-bound key management without custodial compromise, the SDK supports both enterprise-ready applications and consumer-facing wallets, fostering higher transactional volume, broader user adoption, and ecosystem-wide interoperability. Anvil is going to deliver an Enterprise ready solution that will permanently ease the gap between web3 technologies and web2 apps.
