Cardano Talent & Gig Marketplace

Problem

There isn't a reliable platform on Cardano for projects to engage qualified experts. Lack of access to trustworthy talent slows growth and acceptance in the absence of a safe job marketplace.

Solution

Create a Cardano-native gig marketplace that allows projects to safely and openly access qualified personnel by having wallet-linked profiles, ADA-only payments, and verified users.

About this idea

Team

A diversified team with technical, creative, and community expertise is needed to deliver the Cardano Talent & Gig Marketplace. The project team is set up to guarantee that seasoned contributors cover all important development domains, including identity verification, web platform engineering, blockchain integration, user experience, and adoption. Every position is made to fit the milestones, guaranteeing capability and accountability throughout the whole delivery process.

1. Project Lead / Manager

From the first stages of planning to the last adoption reports, the Project Lead will supervise the marketplace's whole lifecycle. Coordination of team activities, time management, financial responsibility, and acting as the primary point of contact with the Catalyst community are all part of this function. In addition, the project lead will be in charge of providing milestone reports, maintaining openness, and soliciting input from stakeholders. The Project Lead contributes both strategic leadership and operational execution capabilities, having previously managed blockchain programs and led cross-functional teams.

2. Blockchain Developer (Smart Contracts & Wallet Integration)

Designing, constructing, and testing the smart contract escrow mechanism that facilitates ADA-only transactions on the platform will be the Blockchain Developer's primary priority. Additionally, they will be in charge of wallet integration, making sure that popular Cardano wallets like Lace, Eternl, Nami, and Flint are compatible. The developer will be responsible for designing Plutus contracts, executing testnet deployments, and organising third-party security audits. Their work is essential to guaranteeing security and dependability in payment processes. This position guarantees the stability and reliability of the marketplace's technical foundation by having firsthand knowledge of Cardano development environments.

3. Web & Platform Developer (Full Stack)

The marketplace's front-end and back-end infrastructure will be managed by the web developer. Their goal is to create an intuitive interface for managing profiles, posting gigs, and tracking reputations while making sure the system is dependable and scalable. They will oversee hosting, guarantee performance monitoring, and create the APIs that link the web platform to blockchain operations. This position serves as a link between user engagement and blockchain activities, ensuring that the platform is both safe and easy to use.

4. UX/UI Designer

The marketplace's interactive and visual experience will be developed by the UX/UI designer. Among their responsibilities are wireframe design, mockup creation, and usability testing of user processes. The designer's job is to translate complicated procedures (such escrow transactions or DID verification) into understandable interfaces because the marketplace will cater to both blockchain-savvy experts and novices. This position makes sure that usability issues don't prevent uptake, making the platform enticing and easily accessible.

5. Identity & Verification Specialist

Integrating decentralised identity (DID) frameworks like Atala PRISM into the platform is the main responsibility of this position. They will guarantee that user authentication is easy, safe, and impervious to misuse. In addition to guaranteeing that professional profiles can contain verifiable credentials or prior work, they also connect the marketplace with credential issuers. By ensuring that only projects and contributors who are legitimate join the ecosystem, this position is essential for fostering trust.

6. Community Lead & Outreach Coordinator

By establishing connections with experts and initiatives throughout the Cardano ecosystem, the Community Lead will promote user adoption. For the pilot, they will oversee outreach efforts, onboard the first 500 professionals, and organise collaborations with projects financed by Catalyst. In regions where blockchain use is accelerating, such as Africa, Asia, and Latin America, this role is particularly crucial. In order to make sure the platform changes to meet user demands, the Community Lead will also gather input throughout the pilot phase.

7. Security & Audit Partner (External)

Although it is not an internal position, the project will hire a third-party security audit partner to examine the escrow smart contracts. This gives users peace of mind that their money is secure and guarantees that the platform satisfies industry security requirements. The function of the external auditor is to conduct an impartial examination of the code, identify any weaknesses, and verify the stability of the payment system prior to the mainnet's implementation.

Team Capability Summary

The team combines expertise across blockchain development, platform engineering, identity verification, design, and community engagement. Together, these roles cover the entire lifecycle of the marketplace:

  • Project Lead: Responsibility, documentation, and general oversight.
  • Blockchain developer: wallet integration and escrow contracts.
  • Web developer: Usability and platform infrastructure.
  • UX/UI Designer: Onboarding and user-friendly interface.
  • Verification Expert: Integrating DID and verifying validity.
  • Community Lead: Adoption growth, onboarding, and outreach.
  • Independent smart contract auditing is a security partner.

Why This Team Can Deliver

The feasibility of this project is not only a matter of technical scope but also of the team’s combined skills and accountability. Each role has been carefully defined to map directly to the milestones:

  • In Milestone 1, the UX/UI Designer and Web Developer take the lead in producing the initial MVP and user flows.
  • In Milestone 2, the Blockchain Developer and Verification Specialist deliver the escrow and DID modules.
  • In Milestone 3, the Community Lead drives adoption, while the Project Lead ensures smooth reporting.
  • In Milestone 4, all roles converge to refine features, document adoption metrics, and prepare the roadmap for scale.

The team makes sure the project is both ambitious and attainable by matching roles to deliverables. This project possesses the capacity and dependability required to support Catalyst funding, with specific responsibilities for technical delivery, user uptake, and financial transparency.
