Many Catalyst-funded projects, like CIP-68, lack real-world use. NGOs face high fees and low transparency in centralized donation platforms
We’ll build a Cardano marketplace reusing CIP-68 to create NFTs from kids’ drawings, using Veridian to verify NGOs, ensuring secure, transparent donations.
This is the total amount allocated to Catalyst Real Reuse.

Please describe your proposed solution and how it addresses the problem
Catalyst Real Reuse builds a Cardano-based marketplace that repurposes the CIP-68 NFT generator (Fund 12, open source, Apache 2.0, https://github.com/cardano2vn/cip68generator)) to enable NGOs to digitize children’s drawings as dynamic NFTs, with anonymous metadata (stories) managed via Veridian (https://www.veridian.id/)) for secure NGO verification. NGOs authenticate using Veridian’s KERI credentials, ensuring privacy and platform security. Donors pay in ADA, driving transactions, with a low 1-2% commission per transaction ensuring platform sustainability beyond initial funding. In collaboration with C2VN/Block Alpha, we optimize CIP-68 integration.
How it addresses the problem: Reuses CIP-68 for a practical social application, maximizing Catalyst funds’ value. Offers NGOs a decentralized, low-cost (1-2% fees), secure, and transparent donation model.
Uniqueness: Unlike crowdfunding platforms, it uses NFTs as collectibles with social impact, leveraging Cardano’s blockchain for traceability and Veridian for secure NGO verification.
Who benefits: NGOs (especially in Amazonía), children, donors, and Cardano (via adoption).
Why for Cardano: Increases ADA usage, promotes Veridian, and showcases Catalyst’s real-world impact.
Proof of impact: 5 NGOs verified, 200 users, 90% workshop satisfaction, technical documentation, and reports.
Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community
Positive Impact on Cardano Community (max 10,000 characters):
Catalyst Real Reuse delivers value to Cardano by:
Maximizing Catalyst Funds: Reuses CIP-68 (Fund 12, ₳87,610) for a social use case, demonstrating efficiency and real-world utility.
Driving Adoption: Engages NGOs and donors, especially in Latam/Amazonía, increasing ADA transactions.
Increasing Transactions: NFT creation and sales boost blockchain activity.
Social Impact: Empowers NGOs and children, aligning with Cardano’s mission of positive change.
Ecosystem Growth: Collaboration with C2VN/Block Alpha strengthens community ties.
Sustainability: A 1-2% commission on transactions ensures long-term platform viability.
Measurement:
Quantitative: 5 NGOs verified, 200 users, 90% workshop satisfaction.
Qualitative: Feedback from NGOs/donors, expert reviews of the marketplace.
Sharing Outputs:
Publish technical documentation on GitHub (Apache 2.0).
Share 4 quarterly reports on Cardano forums.
Produce final report and video (3-5 min) for community events, Discord, and social media.
Present at Cardano Summits and Latam-focused events (e.g., Ecuador).
What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?
Technical Team: Experienced blockchain developers with prior Catalyst-funded projects and Plutus Pioneer certification. The team has delivered production-ready smart contracts, open-source tools, and maintains high-quality documentation.
NGO Collaboration: We have signed agreements with multiple Ecuadorian NGOs, ensuring real-world adoption from day one. Soraya Ponce, with over 5 years in NGO management and community engagement, leverages her strong network in the Amazon region to coordinate pilots and workshops.
Quality & Transparency: All code will be open-sourced, with detailed documentation to enable replication. Progress will be tracked through public GitHub commits, monthly budget updates, and quarterly community reports.
Feasibility Validation: The project reuses the proven CIP-68 standard and integrates with Veridian for NGO verification. A pilot with 5 NGOs will validate usability and adoption, supported by Blockfrost for scalable infrastructure.

How does the cost of the project represent value for the Cardano ecosystem?
Justification: The budget aligns with average salaries in Latin America (USD 20–55/hour according to 2025 market data), ensuring a responsible use of funds. In addition, reusing CIP-68 and integrating Veridian significantly reduces development costs.
Value for Cardano: The project drives ADA usage in global donations, promotes the adoption of verifiable credentials on the network, and demonstrates a real-world Catalyst use case with tangible social impact (NGOs, donors, communities).
Efficiency - Sustainability: Collaboration with C2VN/Block Alpha and open-source documentation ensure transparency and scalability. A low commission model (1–2%) will allow the platform to remain sustainable and grow beyond the initial funding.
