Cardano developers can’t do end-to-end testing in a browser like normal users during automated tests, since current wallets and test networks are not supported.
We extend an existing Cardano Test Wallet with private network support that works in automated browser tests, letting developers test apps end-to-end just like real users.

Developer Tools
Describe what makes your idea innovative compared to what has been previously funded (whether by you or others).
First test wallet for automated end-to-end DApp testing with Playwright integration.
Private network support removes faucet delays and rate limits (like Ethereum’s Ganache).
No existing funded wallet can be injected into browser-based tests.
Combines automation + private testing for faster, more reliable DApp development.
Builds on the already functional Cardano Test Wallet → low-risk, high-impact extension.
Describe what your prototype or MVP will demonstrate, and where it can be accessed.
Our MVP will demonstrate a Cardano Test Wallet that integrates with Playwright for automated DApp testing and runs on a single-node private network, removing faucet delays and rate limits. Developers will be able to inject the wallet into browser tests, run CI/CD pipelines, and validate DApps faster.
The repository is already available on GitHub (cardano-test-wallet) and NPM (@cardanoapi/cardano-test-wallet), The extended features added under this proposal will be added to both Github repository and NPM package.
Describe realistic measures of success, ideally with on-chain metrics.
Please describe your proposed solution and how it addresses the problem
We will extend the existing Cardano Test Wallet, already available on GitHub and NPM, to provide a reliable, automation-ready tool for developers. The solution has two main components:
Automation-Ready Wallet
Single-Cluster Private Network Support
Together, these features address the critical bottlenecks in Cardano DApp development by providing faster, reproducible, and automated testing workflows. Further AI agents can also use the test wallets to automate test scenarios and interact with wallet like a real human would do. With this, developers gain confidence in their applications before mainnet deployment, resulting in higher-quality DApps, improved user trust, and a stronger Cardano ecosystem.
Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community
Value to the Community
Our project removes critical bottlenecks in DApp development by introducing an automation-ready Cardano Test Wallet with single-cluster private network support. This enables developers to test faster, without faucet delays, and with full automation in CI/CD pipelines. The result is:

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?
The Kuber Team from Dquadrant is uniquely positioned to deliver this project. Dquadrant is an enterprise member of Intersect and a long‑standing trusted partner of IOHK, with over five years of consistent Cardano delivery experience. We contribute actively to hard forks, governance frameworks, developer tooling, and serve on Intersect working groups and committees. Our expertise and trust were recognized when Dquadrant was chosen as one of only five partners on Intersect’s Treasury Oversight Committee, providing critical checks and balances for withdrawals.
We are the maintainers of the Autonomous Agent Testing Tool and GovTool, and have built a strong reputation for quality assurance and end‑to‑end testing of Cardano infrastructure. Our open‑source delivery record includes the Playwright‑enabled E2E Testing Wallet, Kuber, KuberIDE, cardano‑marketplace, and the Cardano Mempool Explorer, all live on GitHub and used by projects such as GovTool. Previous Catalyst projects, including the Mempool Explorer and Autonomous Agents, were completed successfully and demonstrate our ability to ship production‑ready code.
This proposal is a direct extension of our existing, working products, leveraging the dedicated team and tooling already in place. By building on open‑source foundations and delivering in milestone stages, with transparent budget allocation and public reporting, we guarantee responsible use of funds, community oversight, and low execution risk. Our established partnerships, proven record across Catalyst and core Cardano development, and ongoing maintenance of related tools demonstrate both the capability and feasibility of delivering another high‑impact resource for developers.

How does the cost of the project represent value for the Cardano ecosystem?
This project provides high value by removing key bottlenecks in Cardano DApp development. For 100,000 ADA, the community gains an open-source, automation-ready Test Wallet with private cluster support, enabling faster, faucet-free testing. The cost is modest compared to the ecosystem-wide benefits: higher-quality DApps, improved developer productivity, and greater user trust. Funds are tied to clear milestones, managed transparently on GitHub, and primarily allocated to development and documentation —ensuring both accountability and lasting impact.
