Charity organizations lack an easy way of raising capital for their projects and donors lack a transparent way to understand how, and if, their funds are being used correctly.
Givinn lets charities raise funds with milestone-based releases through smart-contracts, ensuring donors are able to see exactly how their contributions are used through on-chain records.
This is the total amount allocated to Givinn: Blockchain-Powered Charity Platform.

Smart Contracts
Describe what makes your idea innovative compared to what has been previously funded (whether by you or others).
Unlike traditional crowdfunding or other projects being proposed or already funded, Givinn releases funds only when verified milestones are met, ensuring real-time transparency and accountability for donors throughout a project’s life.
This approach leverages effective altruism by directing resources where they create measurable, proven impact.
There has been several studies linking transparency and accountability to donation behaviour, so we aim to make the whole process better and easier for donors and charities alike, thus enhancing donations overall.
Describe what your prototype or MVP will demonstrate, and where it can be accessed.
Our MVP will demonstrate Givinn’s core functionalities:
A key focus of our MVP is to build a seamless wallet integration, enabling native Web2 users to interact with the Web3 interface effortlessly, despite being new to web3, as we want to aim to a wide user segment.
The MVP will be accesible through a public URL, which is still TBD.
Describe realistic measures of success, ideally with on-chain metrics.
Success could be measured by the number of campaigns launched and total funds raised and quantity of donors.
But additional on-chain metrics could include: volume of transactions processed through Givinn smart contracts (as well as milestones verified on-chain), and the proportion of funds released only after successful verification.
These KPIs will indicate adoption, transparency, and impact across the ecosystem.
Please describe your proposed solution and how it addresses the problem
First, in Chile (First market to be addressed), there are very little alternatives for charity organizations to reach new donors, and let alone raise funds. Even when they are able to gain new donors to subscribe to a monthly donation, which is commonly done through a very costly and not effective externalized process done by recruiters who typically charge very high commissions, they are still not able to efficiently take care of the collection process.
This being said, on the other hand, donors have widely faced the problem of not knowing for sure if their funds are being used properly or not. This is also a widely studied issue, and the Effective Altruism line of thought has been trying to take care of the issue of resource allocation in this industry.
Givinn gives a valid alternative to donors who want to make sure of whether their donations are actually making an impact and being used correctly, by tying fund realeases to achieved and verified milestones, in a process in which funds are delivered to the foundation only when milestones are met and recorded transparently on-chain.
This increases trust and willingness to give, while helping charities access capital more effectively. When milestones are not met, donors will be able to choose whether they want the rest of their funds to be given back to them or to be delivered to another similar project automatically.
Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community
Givinn will showcase Cardano’s strengths in transparency, security, and low-cost transactions, bringing more charitable projects on-chain. By attracting nonprofits and donors, it will expand real-world adoption, increase transaction volume, and demonstrate Cardano’s capacity to drive social impact globally.
On the other hand, as we aim to work with Non-profit organizations and charities, who tend to have great engagement with a wider community and also in the press, we think that by working on this project, the Cardano community as a whole could also be featured as a part of the project who's helping to create a real impact in the world by helping these organizations. This will give a greater showcase which could potentially bring more actors and players to the community.
We also think our solution could integrate with existing Cardano solutions, for example, leveraging Reeve for transparency reporting, which could also enhance the community and ecosystem overall.
What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?
Our team combines experience in blockchain development, fintech, and nonprofit operations, ensuring both technical execution and sector-specific insight.
Ignacio Ramirez is a previous startup founder, and has led his company (An Insurtech Startup) to be present in 4 different latinamerican countries, while also working as an entrenpreneurship and blockchain professor in a highly respected latinamerican University, the University of Chile.
Vicente Wolde has been working for several years in the banking industry in Chile, while working on the side on several blockchain projects.
And Rodrigo Llull is a technical founder with a vast experience and expertise developing on different blockchains. In fact, he's currently speciallizing in Cardano, and will be present in a course in Argentina, further working on his skills using Cardano.
We plan to follow transparent development practices, with all smart contracts open-sourced and audited before deployment. To validate feasibility, we will run pilot campaigns with partner charities, monitor on-chain metrics, gather donor feedback, and iteratively refine the platform based on measurable adoption and milestone verification success rates.
Milestone Title
MVP Development & Smart Contract Deployment
Milestone Outputs
Develop the platform's frontend and backend; deploy smart contracts for milestone-based fund releases on Testnet.
This milestone will also include the QA process, so an output would also be a complete report of the testing process developed by a close community group.

Please provide a cost breakdown of the proposed work and resources
In case we do need more investment, we also plan to apply to startup accelerators, like Startup Chile, a local public equity-free accelerator who provides investment, and also find angel investors (including investments of our own) to fund the rest of the costs.
How does the cost of the project represent value for the Cardano ecosystem?
Our project offers high value for the Cardano ecosystem because every cost directly supports building a functional, audited MVP that will bring new users and transaction volume to the network.
The budget covers smart contract development, front-end/back-end integration, security audits, and user onboarding. These tasks require specialized blockchain talent, and our cost estimates are proportional to market rates.
For example, blockchain developers in Chile earn an average of USD $40–$60/hour, while experienced UI/UX and integration specialists earn USD $25–$40/hour, which is significantly lower than rates in the US or Europe. This allows us to deliver the same quality at a more cost-efficient rate, maximizing the impact per dollar spent.
By funding Givinn, the Cardano community will gain a live, socially impactful use case that leverages on-chain verification and transparency, attracting nonprofits (and thus, potentially great press coverage, given the nature of the projects), donors, and organizations that would otherwise remain off-chain. The result is greater network activity, more wallets created, and increased visibility of Cardano as a platform for real-world good.
In short, the proposed budget is lean, market-aligned, and tied to clear deliverables that directly expand Cardano’s adoption and demonstrate its capabilities in a socially valuable sector.
