On-chain gaming on Cardano has not yet taken off. There are few dApps with real-world impact either. Reafino SmartPlay brings:

• Innovative game play design that enables Live games

Reafino is a RealFi platform that connects DeFi with real-world activity. Our first product, SmartStarter - fully on-chain crowdfunding, is already on public testnet and close to mainnet launch. SmartPlay is new product segment that extends this vision into RealFi games.

Reafino SmartPlay begins with a permissionless, trustless games fo change - bringing the excitement of classic TV-style jackpots fully on-chain.

Games in Scope of this proposal:

Lottery, Raffles, and Jackpots using ADA and Cardano native tokens.

Key Features:

1. Verifiable randomness, manipulation resistant: Combines oracle-seeded external randomness with chaotic manipulation-resistant fairness, ensuring transparent results beyond the control of game operators.
2. Native Token Support: SmartPlay supports all Cardano native tokens, including stablecoins.
3. Caters to wide RealFi use cases: Product discount lotteries to drive real-world commerce. NFT community utility games to keep collections active and engaging. Afforestation and climate lotteries. Charity and social impact lotteries supporting communities and causes. Community impact & education games for student groups and local initiatives.
4. Trustless and Permissionless: Anyone can create games without admin keys or middlemen; all workflows are executed via Cardano smart contracts.

What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?

Our team has already shown we can deliver on Cardano. We built and launched SmartStarter, a RealFi crowdfunding platform now live on public testnet, self-funded. With that foundation, we’re now building SmartPlay, Cardano’s first RealFi gaming module. We have started with the game specifications and winner selection scheme through smart contracts. We have run early simulations which validate our approach. Those design and simulation details will be shared with first milestone of this project.

Our smart contract design support parallelized UTXO processing so that games run smoothly, fairly, and at scale.

To make outcomes provably fair, we’ve already partnered with Orcfax, who provide oracle-driven external randomness for our games. We’ve also had discussions with reputed audit firms like Anastasia Labs, Certik and NoWitness Labs for our security audit.

The path to desigining launching SmartPlay is clear. What we need now is short-term budget support to fast track development and create high assurance with audit.

Feasibility

It’s a first-of-its-kind RealFi gaming product on Cardano, designed to attract youth, casual players, and Web3 communities. Games link directly to real-world impact like climate action, charity funding, NFT utility, and student community support.

Justification

• Team compensation are below market rate. We have built Reafino platform entirely self funded, launched the first fully on-chain product segment on the public testnet and has continued supporting it. However self funded development is slow. Catalyst funding support will allow us to dedicate time and build a product segment in 3 months which would otherwise take more than 6 months.
• Reusablity of Reafino plaform. We have developed the front end and backend for Reafino with extensibility in mind. As a result only 1 month's front development suffices for SmartPlay, by way of custom components or a couple of new pages. This reduces dev cost in this project.
• Smart Contract Audit is the major share of the budget accounting for ~50%. This will ensure high assurance and security for the games meant to pool in large scale participation.
• Infra budget - SmartPlay will run on the infra use by Reafino platform. In that regard, the overall infra factos in only incremental costs for this new product segment. The budget is to boost necessary cloud infra to support additional load and maintain performance.
• Inecntives and outreach budget - Small but essential allocation to incentives, and outreach. This will allow the product to get quick traction.
