Many Africans lack motivation and tangible incentives to learn Web3. Without local rewards or proof-of-progress, education feels disconnected from real-world value or outcomes.
We'll launch a learn-to-earn program rewarding learners with ADA for completing Web3 classes, quizzes, and wallet setup—boosting motivation, engagement, and Cardano adoption across Africa.
This is the total amount allocated to Yeneta Learn2Earn: On-Chain Rewards-Web3 Learners in Africa.

Learn to Earn
Describe what makes your idea innovative compared to what has been previously funded (whether by you or others).
Yeneta Learn-to-Earn introduces a reward-based education model, offering on-chain incentives for learning milestones. Unlike past funded projects, it integrates wallet setup, quizzes, NFT badges, and ADA rewards into a gamified Web3 experience. Tailored for Africa, it bridges offline learners into Cardano using culturally relevant content, making it an innovative, scalable onboarding funnel that creates real engagement and measurable on-chain growth.
Describe what your prototype or MVP will demonstrate, and where it can be accessed.
Our MVP will demonstrate a working Learn-to-Earn dApp where users register, complete lessons, take quizzes, and receive on-chain NFT badges and ADA rewards. It will be deployed on Cardano testnet and accessible via web/mobile interface. Users will connect wallets, earn rewards, and track progress. We’ll invite the Cardano community to test, give feedback, and simulate onboarding using mock ADA to validate engagement, retention, and tech functionality before mainnet deployment.
Describe realistic measures of success, ideally with on-chain metrics.
We aim to onboard 5,000 unique users over 5 months, generating ~1,000 on-chain interactions, including wallet connections, quiz completions, NFT badge mints, and ADA reward claims. We estimate ~2–4 smart contract calls per user. Based on similar education-based Web3 dApps, a 30–40% active user retention rate is realistic. All metrics will be trackable on Cardano testnet using block explorer and internal analytics dashboards.
Please describe your proposed solution and how it addresses the problem
Our solution is a Learn-to-Earn platform powered by Yeneta Blockchain Academy, where learners complete structured blockchain and Cardano courses and receive on-chain rewards for participation, quizzes, and wallet activity. This incentivized approach increases engagement, reduces drop-off, and creates real behavioral change.
By combining education with tangible ADA incentives and NFT badges, we make learning accessible, rewarding, and impactful — especially for youth and beginners across Africa.
Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community
This project will onboard over 1,000 new learners into the Cardano ecosystem, especially from underserved African communities. By using Learn-to-Earn incentives, we turn passive interest into active participation—driving wallet creation, ADA usage, and on-chain actions (e.g., completing quizzes, claiming NFTs). It creates a growing community of informed users and future builders.
How we will measure impact:
Number of new Cardano wallets created
ADA transactions initiated from rewards
Number of courses completed
Pre- and post-knowledge assessments
NFT rewards distributed
Community feedback and retention
Growth in Telegram and social media engagement
How we will share results:
Public dashboard showing real-time stats
Monthly reports and impact stories on social channels
Final open-access report and project GitHub repo
Engage community to test and give feedback
Use Yeneta Academy platforms to amplify reach and build continuity beyond this grant.

Please provide a cost breakdown of the proposed work and resources
The total requested budget for the Yeneta Learn-to-Earn project is 75,000 ADA for a five-month implementation timeline. This budget is carefully structured to ensure value for money while delivering a high-impact, on-chain education and engagement initiative.
A significant portion of the budget, 13,000 ADA, is allocated for platform development, which includes setting up smart contracts, building the reward distribution system, and integrating wallet onboarding features. This technical foundation is critical to enable users to participate, learn, and earn on-chain in a secure and verifiable way.
We will allocate 10,000 ADA to content creation, which covers the development of localized video lessons, quizzes, infographics, and multi-language explainers tailored to African learners who are new to blockchain and Cardano. This ensures that the learning experience is accessible, culturally relevant, and engaging.
To directly drive participation, 15,000 ADA is reserved for on-chain community incentives. These include ADA rewards, Learn-to-Earn token incentives, and NFTs distributed to participants who complete specific learning milestones or contribute meaningfully to the ecosystem. These incentives are not overhead, but a core feature to increase wallet creation, active learning, and Cardano engagement.
We will dedicate 8,000 ADA to program operations, which includes stipends for team members, moderators, and support staff needed to run the educational sessions, manage the community, and maintain learner engagement across our Telegram, TikTok, and Discord channels.
For marketing and promotion, we will spend 8,000 ADA across social media platforms, using short-form video content, targeted campaigns, and growth tools to reach new learners and drive onboarding. This also includes promotional materials to boost visibility before and during the learning cycles.
To support in-person interaction and connection with the broader community, 6,000 ADA will be used to organize two regional workshops and a final showcase event, where learners will share what they’ve built and celebrate their achievements.
We have set aside 3,000 ADA for project documentation and reporting, including the creation of learning materials, use case stories, transparent reporting to the Catalyst community, and archiving public access to all results and assets.
To manage the project successfully, we’ve included 4,000 ADA for project management, covering coordination, partner outreach, timeline oversight, and milestone tracking.
Finally, a 2,000 ADA contingency (roughly 5% of the total) is included to cover any unexpected costs or technical needs.
We will also be using third-party tools such as quiz platforms, NFT minting services, and wallet integration SDKs (e.g., Lace or Eternl compatible tools) to support the delivery of our on-chain rewards and verifiable learning outcomes.
How does the cost of the project represent value for the Cardano ecosystem?
The Yeneta Learn-to-Earn project offers exceptional value for the Cardano ecosystem by combining grassroots education, real user onboarding, and on-chain engagement into one scalable model. With a total budget of 75,000 ADA, we’re not just funding content—we’re directly creating new wallet users, increasing ADA transactions, and growing a local Cardano-first community in Africa.
Our budget is proportional to the scale and structure of the project. For example, average monthly freelance rates for developers and content creators in Ethiopia range between 300–600 USD (≈200–400 ADA), making our team’s salaries and content costs both fair and below global averages. By leveraging local talent and community-driven growth strategies, we deliver more impact for less.
We’ve also allocated a large portion of the funds (20% of the total budget) directly to on-chain incentives. These rewards are not overhead—they’re strategic tools to drive engagement, test Cardano smart contracts, distribute NFTs, and teach learners how to use their wallets through real interaction. This means that part of the budget goes back to the community in a measurable and mission-aligned way.
Every ADA we’re requesting is mapped to specific outputs: verified wallet growth, smart contract usage, content views, community event participation, and digital assets distributed. We’re not spending on speculative tools—we’re building practical, testable, and trackable mechanisms that bring new people into the Cardano ecosystem.
Finally, by open-sourcing our curriculum and reward systems, other projects and hubs across Africa and the world can replicate and adapt this model, multiplying the value of the funds invested.
In short, Yeneta Learn-to-Earn is not a cost—it’s a strategic investment into Cardano’s user base, infrastructure testing, and long-term adoption in new regions.
