Ctrl Wallet has 500,000+ users on Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana, yet few use Cardano. Migration is cumbersome, requiring exchanges, extra wallets, and new interfaces, blocking adoption.
We will eliminate complexity with a single interface, enabling two-click transfers from BTC, ETH, or SOL into ADA. Inside Ctrl Wallet, users access staking, ramps, and dApps.

We have long-standing collaborations with THORChain and SwapKit, which are respectively planning to add $ADA natively and integrating NEAR intents solution.
We have started discussions with several Cardano dApps, SPOs, stablecoin issuers (USDA), and on/off-ramp providers (Encryptus, Moonpay), ensuring readiness for integration.
Describe funding commitments.
Ctrl Wallet, backed by three funding rounds from VCs, angels, and an IDO, has been operating for five years. We will commit senior engineering, product, and design resources to ensure delivery, and allocate revenues for long-term maintenance and marketing of Cardano features.
Catalyst funding is requested to accelerate integration, with detailed requirements set out in the Budget and Cost section.

Please describe your proposed solution and how it addresses the problem
Ctrl Wallet serves over ~500,000 active users across Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and other major ecosystems. These users are not currently using Cardano.
Why? Because for users who are not already in Cardano, migrating is complicated and lengthy. Today, a typical user has to:
Send BTC, ETH, SOL, or other assets to a centralised exchange.
Sell those assets for ADA or Cardano-native tokens.
Transfer them into a Cardano-compatible wallet.
Learn a completely new interface before they can stake, use dApps, or participate in governance.
There’s friction at every step, and it kills migration.
We want to eliminate all of this complexity with one single interface, making it as simple as two clicks to move funds from BTC, ETH, SOL, or other chains directly into ADA or Cardano-native assets, without leaving Ctrl Wallet.
Once users arrive, they’ll find everything they need inside the wallet: staking, on/off ramps, dApp connectors and more. This is not just onboarding, it’s a complete migration pathway designed to make Cardano adoption effortless.
As part of a longer-term ambition to strategically partner with Cardano’s ecosystem, we intend to capture governance, as well as support for native stablecoins, such as USDM/USDA, at a later date. In the interest of roadmap sequencing and respecting the Catalyst process, we intend to scope that in a future proposal.
Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community
We will develop and launch the fastest, easiest way to bring users to Cardano’s dApps, SPOs and stablecoins from any major chain, combined with a complete Cardano feature suite inside Ctrl Wallet.
Core components:
NEAR Intents integration (or THORChain) as the primary migration bridge, enabling one-click swaps from BTC, ETH, or SOL into ADA and Cardano-native assets.
Staking — native ADA staking directly in-wallet, with clear APY and rewards tracking.
On/Off ramps — fiat-to-ADA and ADA-to-fiat flows for global users.
dApp connectors — frictionless access to Cardano dApps, including DeFi, NFTs, and gaming.
What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?
This proposal directly meets the Cardano Use Cases, Partners, and Products challenge by:
Bringing scale — targeting 500k+ Ctrl Wallet users with a structured migration campaign.
Removing the hardest barrier — no need for a centralised exchange or multiple wallets.
Driving immediate usage — making Cardano’s core functions available immediately after migration.
Building long-term value — keeping users in Cardano with a full in-wallet experience.
Complementary Catalyst Proposal: In the interest of transparency, Ctrl is also submitting a proposal (“Discover Cardano with Ctrl Wallet – Short Video Series”) to produce 5 short, high-impact videos promoting Cardano features inside Ctrl (Gas Tank, dApp connections, portfolio view, on/off ramps, hardware wallets). This campaign will educate and engage 500k+ Ctrl users across Twitter and Discord, driving visibility and adoption of the new Cardano integrations funded through this proposal.

How does the cost of the project represent value for the Cardano ecosystem?
The proposed budget represents excellent value for the Cardano ecosystem given the scale of adoption it will unlock. Ctrl Wallet already serves over 500,000 active users across Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and other major chains. With Catalyst support, we will remove the biggest friction point holding these users back from engaging with Cardano: the cumbersome on-chain bridging process.
By integrating a seamless cross-chain bridging pathway (via NEAR Intents or THORChain) and combining it with a complete in-wallet Cardano feature suites, which includes staking, dApp connectors, and on/off ramps, we will make Cardano adoption effortless and sticky.
Ultimately, our ambition is to incorporate governance and support for USDM/USDA, to not only bring more users to Cardano’s dApps but also active engagement in governance.
Scale of Impact
The project targets a minimum of 20,000 new Cardano users migrating through Ctrl Wallet within months of launch.
At a total cost of 475,000 ADA, this equates to an acquisition cost of ~24 ADA per user.
By comparison, industry-standard user acquisition costs in Web3 are significantly higher, often exceeding $50–$100 per active user.
Each of these users will not just enter Cardano but immediately gain access to staking, stablecoins, DeFi, and SPOs, making them far more likely to remain long-term ecosystem participants.
This represents a step-change in adoption: instead of incremental growth, Cardano gains tens of thousands of engaged users from other chains in one integrated migration flow.
