Education
Who you’re targeting, how you’ll reach them, and why this matters for Cardano?
Our project targets indie game developers, university students in game development and IT programs, and newcomers who want to explore Cardano through practical, accessible learning materials. These audiences already use Godot or are searching for an approachable entry point into blockchain game development but currently lack structured, beginner-friendly resources for Cardano integration.
We will reach them through Cardano and Godot online communities, C2VN’s social channels, YouTube lessons, workshops, university outreach, and a small community Game Jam. This matters because game developers are one of the most effective vectors for onboarding new users—Web3 gameplay mechanics (minting items, storing progress, syncing data) naturally introduce players to wallets and on-chain concepts. By equipping developers with the ability to build Cardano-enabled Godot games, we create new applications, new creators, and new user entry points that expand Cardano’s real-world adoption.
Provide a list of key activities of your project:
Key activities include designing a structured Godot × Cardano curriculum, producing high-quality educational materials (videos, articles, slides), building open-source sample projects on GitHub, and delivering hands-on workshops with live mentoring. The project also organizes a small non-financial Game Jam to encourage creativity, maintains an active Discord community for ongoing support, and publishes all outputs, recap videos, and the final project report publicly for long-term community benefit.

Current Landscape and Problem
Godot is one of the fastest-growing open-source game engines, widely used by students, indie developers, and hobbyist creators. Despite this growth, there is no structured, beginner-friendly pathway for learning how to integrate Cardano into Godot. Developers lack guided practice, practical examples, community support, and clear workflows for building Web3-enabled games.
As a result:
Our Proposed Solution
We introduce Godot on Cardano – Step-by-Step Game Dev Guide, a complete onboarding and educational program designed to help developers create Web3-enabled Godot games using Cardano tools in a simple, structured, and accessible way.
The solution focuses on three core pillars:
1. A Structured Learning Pathway for Web3 Game Development
We provide a clear, progressive curriculum that teaches:
This pathway reduces complexity and gives beginners a well-defined starting point.
2. High-Quality, Public, and Permanent Educational Resources
To ensure long-term value, we produce a full set of open-access materials, including:
These resources remain publicly available and reusable, enabling continuous onboarding even after the project ends.
3. Community-Based Learning Through Workshops and Hands-On Practice
We reinforce learning by creating opportunities for real collaboration and experimentation:
This approach transforms isolated learning into a vibrant, supportive ecosystem.
Why This Approach Works
Who Will Benefit
Why This Matters for Cardano
Web3 gaming is one of the most accessible entry points for new developers.
By providing a structured learning path, practical examples, and community-driven support, this project helps Cardano attract:
It establishes an evergreen onboarding pipeline, positioning Cardano as a developer-friendly blockchain for open-source game creators worldwide.
Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community
This project aims to onboard new developers into the Cardano ecosystem through a practical and creative approach: Web3 game development using Godot. All learning materials produced are permanent, public, and reusable—providing continuous value for future learners and builders.
1. Increased Developer Onboarding
The project creates a structured pathway for new developers to enter Cardano by offering guided lessons, hands-on exercises, and real testnet interactions. With expected participation across the LMS, YouTube, and workshops, learners will complete practical tasks such as minting assets, calling APIs, and building mini Web3 game logic. This contributes to a growing pool of early-stage developers who can confidently build or experiment on Cardano.
2. Expansion of the Godot × Cardano Community
By connecting Godot game developers with blockchain technology, the project fosters a collaborative micro-community around Web3 game development. Learners can exchange knowledge, share prototypes, and participate in community Q&A through Discord. This creates a foundation for future tools, experimental libraries, and integration patterns that benefit both game developers and Cardano builders.
3. Increased Testnet Interaction and On-Chain Familiarity
Learners will actively interact with the Cardano testnet through exercises such as creating assets, minting collectibles, syncing game state, and integrating Web3 logic in Godot. These hands-on habits naturally translate into greater mainnet adoption over time, contributing to ecosystem activity and technical depth.
Measuring Impact
Quantitative indicators include:
Qualitative indicators include:
Sharing Outputs with the Community
All deliverables will remain free and publicly accessible, including:
Materials will be shared on the Cardano Forum, X/Twitter, Discord, GitHub, LMS, YouTube, and cardano2vn.io.
Long-Term Value
The project establishes a repeatable course, an ongoing developer onboarding pipeline, and a community hub for Godot-based Web3 development. By lowering the learning barrier for thousands of potential game developers, the project contributes directly to long-term ecosystem growth and enhances Cardano’s position in the Web3 gaming domain.
