Does your project have any dependencies on other organizations, technical or otherwise?
Yes
Describe any dependencies or write 'No dependencies'
Rivool’s platform relies on two critical third-party providers to ensure the integrity, scalability, and security of its operations: Veriff – Used for identity verification (KYC and AML compliance). Veriff provides advanced biometric and document verification systems that allow Rivool to onboard investors and issuers in compliance with international financial regulations. This dependency ensures that all users on the Rivool RWA platform are properly verified, reducing risks of fraud, identity theft, and unauthorized access to financial products. Amazon Web Services (AWS) – Used for infrastructure, hosting, and data storage. Rivool’s core platform architecture is deployed on AWS, leveraging its global infrastructure to guarantee scalability, resilience, and security. AWS enables the platform to handle high transaction volumes, ensure uptime, and securely store encrypted financial and user data.
Will your project's outputs be fully open source?
No
Please provide details on the intellectual property (IP) status of your project outputs, including whether they will be released as open source or retained under another licence.
The Rivool platform is proprietary, including backend services, risk models, and operational infrastructure. However, all Cardano smart contracts developed under this grant will be released publicly under an open-source license (Apache 2.0 or MIT). This ensures auditability, ecosystem reuse, and long-term transparency, while the private components remain under Rivool’s commercial license.

RWA
Describe your established collaborations.
Rivool has established a robust network of collaborations that bridge traditional finance, blockchain infrastructure, and regulatory expertise to build a scalable, compliant, and global real-world asset (RWA) platform. Each partnership contributes to a different layer of our ecosystem — legal, technical, operational, and market access — ensuring both institutional credibility and technological excellence.
Machado Meyer Advogados (Brazil) – One of the most respected law firms in Latin America, serving as Rivool’s legal incubator and advisor. They provide continuous legal structuring support for tokenized credit operations, ensuring full compliance with the Brazilian Securities Commission (CVM) regulations, including Resolutions CVM 88 and CVM 160. Machado Meyer is also instrumental in bridging traditional financial markets with blockchain-based issuance, custody, and settlement structures.
This partnership has enabled Rivool to operate confidently under a regulated framework, issuing compliant security tokens linked to credit rights and ensuring that our Cardano-based infrastructure will maintain full regulatory alignment across jurisdictions.
Nexxera — One of Latin America's largest B2B financial infrastructure providers, processing over R$3.4 trillion annually across 7 billion transactions. Nexxera serves 400 of Brazil's 500 largest corporations — including Vale, General Motors, and Natura — and commands 56% market share in B2B payments. As a strategic partner, Nexxera will provide credit origination infrastructure, enabling Rivool to tokenize high-quality receivables at institutional scale on Cardano. This partnership connects Cardano directly to Brazil's mainstream corporate finance ecosystem.
Nagro Securitizadora – A licensed credit originator and securitization company in Brazil, specializing in agribusiness receivables. Rivool has tokenized $2million in credit assets in collaboration with Nagro. This partnership validates the scalability of Rivool’s tokenization model for real-world credit pools and ensures a continuous pipeline of high-quality, performing assets to be brought on-chain.
These assets — composed of Bank Credit Notes (CCBs) and Rural Product Notes (CPRs) — are backed by real, productive agribusiness operations across 23 Brazilian states, representing over 130 active borrowers. Nagro’s regulated infrastructure allows these tokenized portfolios to integrate directly with Cardano through Plutus smart contracts, establishing a bridge between DeFi and traditional credit markets.
Veriff – Integrated from day one as our global KYC/KYB/AML provider, Veriff enables seamless onboarding of investors and entities across multiple jurisdictions. It supports both individuals and institutional clients, using advanced identity verification and anti-fraud systems. This integration ensures that all Cardano-based token transactions remain compliant with international financial standards, including FATF and OECD requirements.
AWS and Google for Startups – Rivool receives infrastructure and technical support from both programs, leveraging AWS Cognito, Lambda, and RDS for backend orchestration, and Google Cloud for scalability and data analytics. These partnerships guarantee high-availability infrastructure for off-chain data processing and on-chain synchronization with Cardano DB Sync.
Rivool maintains a network of 480+ financial advisors and 1,200+ qualified investors on its waitlist. These relationships serve as a direct distribution channel for on-chain credit opportunities. Through partnerships with advisory networks, family offices, and asset managers, Rivool bridges the gap between blockchain-native investors and traditional capital allocators seeking yield-bearing, real-world assets.
Regulated Fintech Collaborations – Rivool has formal partnerships and MOUs with several rural credit fintechs that specialize in small and mid-sized agricultural operations. These partners originate, underwrite, and service credit transactions that Rivool tokenizes — ensuring both the quality and real impact of financed operations.
Describe funding commitments.
Rivool has strong financial stability to support this project. Beyond the requested 690448 ADA from Catalyst, the company has over $400,000 in projected cash flow for the next 12 months, coming from existing operations and strategic market partnerships.
This ensures that Rivool can maintain its activities and continue development independently of Catalyst funding. The requested ADA will be specifically allocated to the integration with Cardano, platform enhancements, and ecosystem expansion.
Describe your key performance metrics.
Please describe your proposed solution and how it addresses the problem
Rivool is building the infrastructure to bring real-world credit from Latin America onto the Cardano blockchain.
We focus on private credit in the agriculture sector—such as CRAs, CCBs, and CPRs—starting with operations in Brazil.
These assets offer stable and secure returns above 10% per year . But today, they are hard to access for global investors due to legal, technical, and regulatory barriers.
Our goal is to make these assets accessible, tradable, and compliant on-chain.
We will create smart contracts on Cardano that automate income distribution, token minting, and amortization flows.
Each token will represent the right to receive payments from a real-world credit contract, originated by regulated financial partners.
We have an aligned framework with Brazilian law and CVM regulations. This ensures the tokens are legally enforceable and fully transparent.
The platform will include tools for verifying each asset, tracking payments, and managing investor rights.
We will also design governance rules for how credit pools are structured, operated, and audited.
This project helps connect global crypto capital with real-world yield opportunities in emerging markets.
It also creates a reusable model for others to tokenize regulated assets on Cardano.
By doing this, Rivool will help position Cardano as a leader in compliant real-world asset tokenization.
Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community
This project will bring high-yield, real-world assets from Latin America, starting with Brazilian agribusiness, into the Cardano ecosystem.
Investors will be able to access and hold income-generating credit tokens, backed by audited and compliant contracts.
By enabling tokenized private credit, we expand the range of on-chain assets available to the Cardano community.
We help bridge traditional finance and DeFi, unlocking access to assets that were previously restricted to local or institutional players.
Developers and platforms will be able to reuse our smart contracts, legal templates, and token standards to build their own RWA solutions.
Our work will support the growth of Cardano as a trusted infrastructure for compliant asset tokenization.
Success will be measured by the number of assets tokenized, originators onboarded, and user engagement with the test environment.
We will share case studies, user feedback, and data on transactions and flows to validate the results.
What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?
Rivool has tokenized over R$ 20M in private credit using audited and compliant structures.
We are advised by Machado Meyer and we already have CVM 88 license for public offerings in Brazil.
Our team has legal, technical, and financial experience in structuring real-world asset operations.
We have already executed real deals with regulated partners in the agribusiness sector.
Our smart contracts will be tested on Cardano testnet using real asset data.
Feasibility will be validated through legal review, originator onboarding, and successful on-chain simulations.
