Supply Chain
Describe what makes your idea innovative compared to what has been previously launched in the market (whether by you or others).
We are creating a use case so consumers can verify what they are consuming on a daily basis. This can scale to farms of live produce, livestock, health and beauty. We are creating supply chain verification through an easy to use App that directly links the consumer to data sets produced by farmers and suppliers.

Our MVP will be a completely integrated smart contract dApp on Cardano Mainnet paired with an easy to navigate app for consumers to gain access to data sets via mobile. Verification of food sourcing will be open and transparent for everyone.

By onboarding a whole new wave of users to Cardano through a food tracing application, this will give the average consumer a reason to utilize blockchain technology. In addition, Cardano will see an increase in wallet creation and on chain transactions as new consumers are onboarded.
Please describe your proposed solution and how it addresses the problem
In the future, each excavator, front end loader, tractor, spreader, irrigator, sprayer and harvester will be equipped with IoT and chips to measure, collect and send data to a computer hub that will properly aggregate, sort and log farm data.
Fertilization and chemical applications need constant monitoring and proper mechanization creating organized customizable and unique data sets. Fertilizer application rates measured in pounds per thousand or pounds per acre can be mechanized, logged and stored online eliminating waste and cutting down on overspraying and overspreading to ensure proper standards are met.
Pesticide and chemical mixing can also be mechanized to ensure proper dilution and distribution is measured and logged. This model takes out guesswork and creates verifiable transparency down to the small-scale farm. This will be a step forward toward a cleaner world. A proper standardization is set and logged with online transparency ensuring farms or meeting requirements for maximum health of product and consumer. Utilization of technologies ensures the standards are met. The data set becomes the new value.
These data sets are paired with local weather data through oracles, soil moisture data, soil texture data, soil compaction data, fertilization and leaching rate etc. All of this data is quintessential for future health and environmental standards. Creating models for optimal health with stronger data sets over time.
These data sets should be stored and verified by a transparent public ledger for consumer safety and verification. By utilizing a public blockchain ledger, these data sets can become transparent and immutable. Creation and distribution of daily data creates truly transparent Smart Farms. True unmatched verifiable transparency. Data sets benefit farms with machine logs, time logs, application logs and labor logs increasing efficiency and giving farmers year-over-year data sets to ensure productivity stability and profitability.
With these increasing new larger data sets being stored online, a storage protocol capable of sorting handling and displaying these data sets is essential. Blockchain technology offers a possible solution here. For example, utilizing the multi asset ledger on the cardano blockchain with Iagon Storage and Distributive Computing model, data sets should be sorted and stored securely.

We aim to create a globally connected transparent application geared toward pushing farmers to become inclusively accountable. Data sets from seed to harvest create product metadata that can be linked to a packing label via QR. This creates a gateway for every consumer to verify the true value of each product in a stream lined application. The application will display metadata, farm bio, certifications, shipping and handling data along with an overall food score. This creates in-store verification the consumer needs to have confidence they are purchasing the product as marketed.
This application is not only capable of changing the world, but in doing so ensures future generations will point to Cardano as the backbone of verification standards of food science and health.
