Cardano lacks an instant token launchpad. Issuing new tokens is slow, expensive, and requires manual liquidity provision, slowing down DeFi growth on Cardano.
We build an instant launchpad integrating Hydra. Users mint & trade on bonding curves within Hydra Heads. Tokens automatically list on DEXs once liquidity targets are met.

Does your project have any dependencies on other organizations, technical or otherwise?
Yes
Describe any dependencies or write 'No dependencies'
Our project operates with two key technical dependencies. Primarily, the platform is built on top of IOG’s Hydra Head protocol, meaning our "Hydra Operator" relies directly on the stability and API structure of the hydra-node; we mitigate this risk by closely aligning with the Hydra roadmap and maintaining active communication with the developer community to ensure our infrastructure remains compatible with the latest node versions. Secondarily, our "Auto-listing" feature interacts with specific DEX smart contracts (e.g., Minswap V2) for liquidity pool creation. To manage this, we employ a modular architecture for the "Liquidity Migrator" bot, which allows us to swiftly update integration logic or switch to alternative DEXs like SundaeSwap or Spectrum should the primary DEX become unavailable or modify its contracts.
Will your project's outputs be fully open source?
No
Please provide details on the intellectual property (IP) status of your project outputs, including whether they will be released as open source or retained under another licence.
License: Proprietary (Closed Source). Rationale: Security: Keeping core logic closed prevents malicious actors from forking the code to create scam/rug-pull platforms, protecting user funds. Sustainability: Retaining IP enables a viable business model, ensuring resources for long-term maintenance without relying solely on grants. Transparency: Public APIs and on-chain data will remain fully verifiable.

The MVP will be publicly accessible through a web URL and we will provide testnet for the community to experience.
Describe realistic measures of success, ideally with on-chain metrics.
The success of this concept project will be measured by specific technical metrics:
Please describe your proposed solution and how it addresses the problem
While Cardano boasts superior security and determinism, its DeFi ecosystem suffers from a critical "Velocity Gap" compared to chains like Solana or Base.
Our solution is not just a dApp; it is an end-to-end automated infrastructure called Pump.Cardano. It leverages Hydra Head (Layer 2) to bypass L1 limitations, delivering a trading experience that is mathematically impossible on the main chain alone.
We assert unequivocally: Pump.Cardano is a category-defining project with no precedent in the ecosystem.
While others have theorized about Hydra, we are the first to engineer a fully automated L2–L1 liquidity pipeline. Pump.Cardano reimagines the viral "Instant Launch" model but rebuilt specifically for Cardano through three groundbreaking innovations:
The system consists of four main layers:
1. Frontend: Intuitive web application that allows users to create, buy, and sell tokens with just a few taps.
2. Backend services: Manage users, coordinate transactions, and integrate core components:
3. Hydra Head (L2): Off-chain ledger that enables hundreds of transactions per second with near-zero fees.
4. Cardano (L1): Payment and trust layer, storing smart contracts, transaction results, and eventual DEX pools.
1. Creation (L1):
Users create tokens via the interface. Backend sends L1 transaction to mint the total token supply using parameterized one-shot policy (UTxO), ensuring uniqueness and security.
2. Commitment (L1 → L2):
The Hydra operator opens a new Hydra Head and commits the UTxO containing the newly minted token.
Buyers participating in the creation will commit their ADA UTxO to the same Head.
3. Transactions (L2 - off-chain):
All buy/sell transactions happen instantly inside the Hydra Head.
Transactions are signed and confirmed off-chain based on bonding curve logic, allowing for hundreds of TPS with near-zero fees - providing an “instant” experience.
4. Settlement (L2 → L1):
The Aggregation Service tracks the Head status.
When the total ADA in the bonding curve reaches a threshold (e.g. 10,000 ₳), the service initiates the Head closing process.
5. Auto-listing (L1): Applying a two-step closing + aggregation model:
This opens up a new path for decentralized, bootstrapped, and resilient DeFi on Cardano.
Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community
Pump.Cardano will have a direct, measurable and long-term impact on the Cardano ecosystem by filling the gap in instant token creation and automated liquidity bootstrap. The solution will not only increase DeFi activity (TVL, volume, number of pools) but also demonstrate a reusable L2→L1 design pattern for many other DeFi applications.
1. Accelerate DeFi development and stablecoin liquidity
2. Promoting Hydra’s real-world applications
3.Increasing meaningful on-chain transactions
1. On-chain KPIs
2. Off-chain KPIs

Milestone Title
L1 smart contracts: One-shot mint policy & bonding curve
Milestone Outputs
1.Development and internal testing of the One-shot minting policy. This is a UTxO-parameterized Plutus script ensuring each "launchpad" can only mint tokens once, preventing inflation/rug-pulls.
2.Development and internal testing of the Bonding Curve Validator (v1). This contract manages the buying/selling logic (price & reserves) on L1 before Hydragraph state injection and during final settlement.
3.Deployment of compiled scripts to the Cardano Pre-production Testnet.
Acceptance Criteria
1.The Minting Policy successfully rejects any minting attempt if the specific "authority" UTxO is consumed or missing.
2.The Bonding Curve Validator correctly enforces the mathematical logic (e.g., price increases as supply decreases) in a simulated L1 transaction.
3.Testnet transactions demonstrate successful interaction with both scripts.
Evidence of Completion
1.Live on-chain data: A document listing Policy IDs and Script Addresses deployed on the Pre-prod Testnet, searchable via Cardanoscan/Cexplorer.
2.Transaction hashes: A list of transaction hashes proving successful minting and validator interaction on Testnet.
3.Video demo: A technical walkthrough video showing the CLI/script interaction, verifying that unauthorized minting attempts fail (negative testing).
4.Restricted repo access: Invitation for Catalyst Milestone Reviewers to view the private GitHub repository to verify codebase existence and activity.

How does the cost of the project represent value for the Cardano ecosystem?
With a budget of ₳180,000 allocated over a 12-month roadmap for development and Mainnet operations, Pump.Cardano delivers exceptional value to Cardano through transparent financial efficiency and real economic impact.
We demonstrate value through three key pillars:
1. Extreme capital efficiency
At the current exchange rate (~$0.41/ADA), the total project budget is approximately $81,180.
Cost Analysis: When distributed over the 12-month duration, the average operational cost is only ~$6,765/month for team.
Market Comparison: This represents a "Bootstrap budget" to sustain a Full-stack Blockchain engineering team (proficient in Aiken, Hydra Node management) alongside production-grade infrastructure costs. This figure proves the team's long-term commitment to the ecosystem, accepting below-market compensation to build a viable, real-world product.
2. Economic driver for the ecosystem
Instead of merely providing source code (which is often forked to create low-quality copies), HydraLaunch operates as a Liquidity Engine for the entire ecosystem:
Direct Impact: Our "Auto-listing" model will continuously generate new Liquidity Pools on Cardano DEXs (such as Minswap, SundaeSwap).
Shared Benefits: We do not hoard liquidity. The success of HydraLaunch directly translates to increased volume and trading Fees for partner DEXs and community Liquidity Providers.
3. Commercial viability of hydra
Pump.Cardano answers the critical question: "Can Hydra be commercially viable?"
We are building a proprietary product to prove that Hydra is robust enough to handle complex DeFi models (High-frequency trading) with a smooth, Web2-like user experience.
The project's success will attract new capital and users to Cardano due to the "Zero-latency" trading experience, elevating Cardano's competitive position against Ethereum L2s or Solana.
Conclusion
This funding is not merely an expense but strategic seed capital to bootstrap a genuine DeFi Business on Cardano. We are committed to converting ₳180,000 into a sustainable infrastructure capable of generating millions of ADA in future trading volume and liquidity for the ecosystem.
