Integrating Cardano Blockchain in Rango Exchange can provide various benefits to the Cardano Ecosystem and open new doors for the current Cardano Developers.
With aggregation of Bridges and DEXs in Rango, users will be able to trade any asset on Cardano ecosystem paying any asset from any other network in a single transaction. This greatly improves the UX of cross-chain swaps between Cardano and other networks. We will create a user centric and simplified UX that allows everyday users to move their funds from other blockchains into Cardano ecosystem with a single click.

While Cardano has strong technical foundations and a big community, technical complexity and shortage of developer resources has hindered the integration of Cardano network in many of the interoperability protocols. Lack of interoperability protocols has led to lack of confidence for self custody wallet users to bridge their funds into the Cardano blockchain and ecosystem, which itself has restricted the Cardano ecosystem dApps to absorb liquidity from other networks.
Our proposed solution, integration of Cardano blockchain in Rango's cross-chain aggregation protocol, will remove all of the mentioned barriers. DeFi users will be able to bridge their funds from 75+ blockchain networks to Cardano ecosystem. We will not develop only 1 bridge with a single security model, but we will study all of the available interop protocols and integrate the most secure and competitive ones, ensuring security of users' assets during cross-chain swaps, while providing competitive rates. Aggregation of Bridges and DEXs, users will be able to swap from any asset on any blockchain to any asset on Cardano network, in a single transaction while ensuring the highest security and most competitive rates for the end user. This highlights Rango's user-centric approach which will provide users with a frictionless, secure and fast gateway to the Cardano blockchain.

Rango team has been building cross-chain infrastructure for several years, reviewing security model of many cross-chain protocols and integrating 35+ bridges into our product. We have experience developing production-level smart contracts and aggregation solutions for different ecosystems, such as Bitcoin & UTXO chains, EVM compatible chains, Solana, Tron, TON, Sui, Stellar, XRP Ledger, Starknet and Cosmos ecosystem. We have had the experience of writing production smart contracts in 5 different smart contract programming langugages. We deliver updates continuously, monitor integrations closely and follow clear operational and security processes. We provide cross-chain aggregated swaps to enterprise customers, including tier 1 wallets such as Trust Wallet, MetaMask, Binance Web3 Wallet, Exodus Wallet, and 50+ more wallets/dApps. This track record is the basis of our reliability. We ship, maintain and support partner chains long-term.
Regarding feasibility, we take a staged approach. We begin with a technical proof of integration (transaction flow, signing logic, etc.) on the testnet and testing infra. In this milestone we will enable our API and SDK users, which include major wallets, to integrate Cardano transactions and we will prepare documentation and provide technical support. There will be Cardano specific section in Rango's documentation websites covering Cardano specific integration notes, Cardano transaction models and code examples. We will also continously monitor and perform automated tests and quality checks from time to time to ensure quality of service for Cardano swaps and bridging.
Acceptance Criteria
A developer should be able to leverage documentations and integrate Cardano swaps and bridges through widget, API or SDK. Cardano ecosystem dApps can plug in Rango's widget to easily onboard users from other blockchains to Cardano. Cardano specific docs will be available on Rango documentation.

We will announce the full integration of Cardano through our social media channels and blog. We will provide publicly available URLs for website, widget and documentation for users and developers to leverage the results of this proposal. The budget reflects work that directly strengthens Cardano ecosystem's ability to attract and retain users from other blockchain ecosystems. Most of the cost goes into development of the bridge/DEX integration, smart contract development, maintaining secure routing, and providing long-term operational support. These aren’t just one-off tasks; they create lasting infrastructure that current and future Cardano projects can build on.
By making bridging easier for external users to move their assets into Cardano, the proposal increases liquidity, expands the active user base, and lowers the barrier for new Cardano projects to form and onboard users/capital from other networks. This creates a reinforcing cycle of growth. More users enable more builders and succesful projects, and more builders/projects generate more attention and activity.
