What is the problem you want to solve?

Will your project's outputs be fully open source?
Yes
Please provide details on the intellectual property (IP) status of your project outputs, including whether they will be released as open source or retained under another licence.
The code is already public and open source under Apache-2.0 license. www.catalystexplorer.com and it's REST json api will be available for free to the entire community.

Governance
Describe what makes your idea innovative compared to what has been previously launched in the market (whether by you or others).
www.catalystexplorer.com is already the only place on the market to get the most aggregated data for understanding catalyst data, the people and companies behind proposals as well as their track record. We’re proposing to build on top of this and fill more gaps currently still lacking. The chief innovation if the community supports us is to reduce the unnecessary time it takes to participate in catalyst. Mainly a mobile wallet interface, and the ability for Catalyst to come to you every time instead of you being forced to remember to open 5 different websites and apps to fully engage.
Describe what your prototype or MVP will demonstrate, and where it can be accessed.
All new MVP sections of the site will be published to the existing tool at www.catalystexplorer.com.
The entire application will be updated to be fully intuitive and functional in mobile wallets likes vespr, gero and eternl.
Describe realistic measures of success, ideally with on-chain metrics.
The biggest metric we will be tracking is increased participation in catalysts. How many more on-chain registrations , even more importantly, increase on chain (catalyst chain) participation. We are particularly confident that a refined UI/UX with full mobile support, plus the events module will lead to more participation.
Other metrics revolve around the tool uses and open source contributions.
Please describe your proposed solution and how it addresses the problem
On average the catalyst explorer tool sees 300 unique visits every 30 days. During the voting period it sees over 30k plus views every day. Catalyst Explorer has become synonymous with Project Catalyst itself.
We recently overhauled the entire app and open source the platform as it has become a core service for catalyst rounds, it only made sense for it to be a community owned product.
Moving forward, if funded, we want to add new modules to enable more members of the community to participate. Even those that have to joggle kids, or work, or 7 projects, for the busy catalyst contributor. For these co-horts we want to bring Catalyst to you so you won’t miss a beat. When you do make time to jump in, we want to use AI to help you very quickly find ideas and teams most relevant to your cares and passion. And we want to add a full mobile wallet experience so you can catalyst with one hand.
For the folks building on catalyst or helping to build catalyst we want to provide a beautiful space for you to customize and showcase your catalyst contributions.
To accomplish this, we are adding three new modules to the catalyst explorer:
The big idea is to add full progressive web experience to the explorer to have a complete mobile experience in VESPR, Eternal, Gero and other cardano wallets. We want to allow the community to Catalyst with one hand.
The idea is to allow the community to be notified when fine-grain events they care about happens. For the first pass we will support these notification channels:
The community will be able to subscribe to any number of these events:
Core Catalyst Events
Community Events - these are events revolving around funded projects
Catalyst funded project launches!!
For community events, users will be able to subscribe at:
Proposal Level
The idea is to build on our very popular list feature and let you generate an AI list. Put in a prompt, answer some questions like limit, Fund, etc, then it generates a list for you. Share the list, keep it private, do all current lists function. Remove items, add items, etc.
We have at least three communities already using our API to facilitate catalyst participation in ways unique to their communities, including but not limited to the Vietnamese and Japanese communities.
Our addition to this functionality is to add all catalyst data currently available in the explorer to the API.
We will also develop a react SDK that communities and programmers can add to their react based projects to reduce the time it takes to integrate catalyst data including ui ready react components that can just be dropped on their sites.
The idea is to allow people to customize and showcase their catalyst contributions:
We’ve been hard at work adding support for the Catalyst platform with support already a handful the new Catalyst Signed Document type and Immutable Ledger. Fund 14 proposal user data is already flowing into the catalyst explorer. We’ve also added the ability for the community sign into the explorer with their brand catalyst pass key. We also already have support for the new X509 Role Based Access Control.
This project will integrate with the new Catalyst platform as we make our way towards full catalyst participation support. By fund 15 we aim to have support for at least 1 write operation. We have our eye set on comments to start. This is particularly interesting to us because one way catalyst explorer shines is surfacing related proposals and entities, having a commenting function will allow the community to pose questions within the context of seeing a related entity.
Please define the positive impact your project will have on the wider Cardano community
Since its debut the explorer has orders of magnitude increased catalyst accessibility. The tool is still the only place to see:
The new notification system will let the community celebrate and audit funded projects without significant time commitment. This will lead to higher quality catalyst projects, greater collaboration and adoption of products and services funded.
The new AI list feature will vastly reduce the time it takes to find quality projects during the voting round. Too many proposals have often been cited as one reason for low participation. This feature will greatly move the needle on proposal review fatigue.
The new mobile wallet experience will greatly reduce the time it takes to keep up with catalyst, on the go, without needing a computer. Catalyst with one hand will become a new standard!
What is your capability to deliver your project with high levels of trust and accountability? How do you intend to validate if your approach is feasible?
The same team that brought you the existing Catalyst Explorer tool as well as www.1694.io is the team that will be delivering this project. Needless to say, governance tooling is kinda our jam. We deliver. Recent repositories our team have contributed to:
We’ve already validated the feasibility of our approach via the popularity of the tool and usage it gets during active funding rounds.

Please provide a cost breakdown of the proposed work and resources
How does the cost of the project represent value for the Cardano ecosystem?
“Project Catalyst is the world’s largest decentralised innovation engine for solving real-world challenges.” For the engine to work and churn our impactful innovations, lots and lots of ideas have to be put, tried, and tested.
Having a tool to make sense of all this data, raises the usefulness and value of Catalyst in ways we can’t even imagine yet.
One concrete value we can imagine today is a much more informed voter.
Another is heavily decreasing the time commitment of Community participate

We are Cardano enthusiasts and a growing collective of dreamers who believe in providing insightful education about Cardano in plain English, Swahili, and Spanish. Most online blockchain content is written by and for developers and finance geeks. We break down complicated technical ideas for everyday people, and provide relevant news in quick bites, and build tools that everyone can use.
Our website is a resource for anyone who wants to learn what Cardano is, why they should care, and how they can participate. We want to make these resources accessible to as many people as possible.
