Project Catalyst User Experience

Project Catalyst's ability to improve and evolve users' experiences will have a huge impact on our organization's return on intent.

Community members' user experience is improved in 6 months or less through the approval, funding, and implementation of impactful proposals.

I propose that Key Metrics to measure this Challenge Campaign's success include:

1. The number of proposals submitted, to help measure proposer interest in the challenge.
2. The average community advisor proposal rating, to help measure the quality of proposals.
3. The number of proposals funded vs. the number of proposals that met the voting approval threshold. This can help measure if the funding allotment was sufficient for Fund 5. If this challenge campaign is renewed for future funds, this metric may help our community decide if the funding allotment needs to be increased or decreased.
4. The funded proposals' key performance indicators (KPIs) overtime (the actual reported data, not only the definition of the KPI). This will help measure the effectiveness of the challenge overtime. See immediately below for more details regarding proposal KPIs.

Each proposal is required to include at least one KPI that intends to measure impact on a specific user experience. User is defined as anyone who participates in Project Catalyst. Each proposal must describe:

1. How the proposal intends to improve at least one specific user experience.
2. How the KPI intends to measure at least one specific user experience.
3. How the proposal intends to generate the KPI(s).
4. How the proposal intends to report the KPI(s) to our community.

Proposed Community Advisors scoring criteria for this Challenge Campaign (same as the current standard for evaluating proposals):

1. Does this proposal effectively addresses the challenge?
2. Given experience and plan presented it is highly likely this proposal will be implemented successfully?
3. Does the proposal provide sufficient information to assess how feasible it is and how effectively it addresses the challenge?

Project Catalyst's ability to improve and evolve will have a huge impact on our decentralized autonomous organization's return on intent; this challenge incentivizes our community to deliver some of those improvements. This campaign aims to test if a $100,000 Fund 5 challenge can incentivize community members to advance the Project Catalyst user experience in 6 months or less from when proposers receiving funding. User experience is critical to retain community members over time and increase user impact within an organization (see links below for a few supporting references that highlight how user experience is an important in this context). If the challenge proves successful, it could be renewed each fund and perpetuate measurable improvements to user experience for our organization into the foreseeable future. Lets improve the user experience as a community and measure it.
