I run the Cardano Podcast. I've already conducted interviews with different teams (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCD-LbBX8c6wgNKggZ43lQrA)
A good way to encourage more meaningful participation in Project Catalyst from community members in the next two funds is to give them engaging content. What better than giving the teams behind the projects a platform to showcase and talk in-depth about their projects.
I've already done 7 interviews (4 are already live and 3 are in editing) on the Cardano Podcast.
Doing an interview usually takes me around 5 hours between doing the research about interesting projects on catalyst, contacting potential interviewees, agreeing on date/time/content, recording the interview, editing for video(YouTube) and audio-only (Spotify, Apple podcasts, Google podcasts, Breaker, Pocket Casts, RadioPublic, etc).
In order to acomplish 10 interviews per months I would need to dedicate 50 hours every month.
Total budget needed: USD $ 8,740
Website development on Wordpress: USD $1,000 *This will be a blog with the articles about each of the interviews done on the Cardano Podcast.
Hosting of the website: USD $60
Software to transcript (Descript): USD $180 *This is important because it will allow me to also deliver the podcast in a written format/blog. Reaching this way a bigger audience. It would also be a big help when it comes to Search Engine Optimization (SEO), so people can find the podcast on Google and other search engines whenever they search for topics related to the content of any of the interviews. These are people that are not necessarily aware of Cardano (e.g. someone that googles NFTs and is presented with the written version of an interview of the Cardano Podcast in which we discussed NFTs in detail). This way we can also bring new audiences to the Cardano ecosystem.
Cost of work per hour: USD $25
Total number of hours to create 10 interviews every month: 50
This budget covers the cost of the resources needed to keep this service running for at least the next 6 months.
