Expensive therapy and medication is usually the bane of every person going through mental trauma, especially those with less discretionary income/financial capabilities.
In Nigeria, mental health is not only overlooked. It's become a rarely spoken topic, almost become a stigma usually attached to cultural myths and misconceptions alienating individuals affected with mental illnesses.
According to the World Health Organisation, One in four Nigerians is suffering from some form of mental illness, coupled with low budget resources or allocations to help medical practitioners combat this problem.
Aware is an app in its developmental stage, it aims to be a mental companion to individuals going through some form of mental illness or difficulties.
