Strategic landscape
With a DRC hub launching soon in Kinshasa, here in Goma we already have an established community of active and engaged developers looking to encourage the adoption of blockchain technologies. By hosting regular blockchain events we will not only engage our already passionate local community, but will also begin to erase some of the negative stigma around blockchain tech in Africa. We already host semi-regular (most weekends) meet ups/ hackathons for developers and tech enthusiasts, usually gathering a crowd of 30-50 depending on the topic. We have a local dev community telegram reaching 150 participants.
Strategic direction
We are in a strong strategic position to be engaging the community towards blockchain adoption, we just need support to be able to introduce the topic to the community and get them on board. We have found a network looking to support us, but need to secure the funds to engage them.

• Invite local devs to WADA virtual meet-ups to introduce them to a wider African blockchain community
• Add functional programming topics to our next local meet-ups in Goma
• Engage WADA network's support with teachers, and educational content to share with our local community

Risk management

Given the stigma of blockchain tech in DRC and the government stance there could be people who are wary of turning up to such an event in person. To mitigate this risk, we will be offering virtual access as well as in-person space especially while things are new.
