We have successfully executed and continued to maintain a working "Proof of Concept" for Cardano On-chain Voting at https://vote.crypto2099.io (mainnet) and https://testvote.crypto2099.io (testnet). The goal of these platforms has always been to provide an on-chain voting mechanism for smaller entities that may fly under the radar of the current scope and scale of the IOG-developed Catalyst voting app such as: Trade Unions/Guilds, Civic Associations (PTA, Soccer League, Homeowner's Association, etc). We feel that this project is a complement to, rather than a competitor of, the larger-scale initiatives that IOG is working on via the Catalyst/Voltaire mechanisms.

The goal of this funding request is to secure funds, allowing us to devote dedicated (rather than donated) time to improving and enhancing the capabilities, branding, and ease of use of the voting platform to attract a larger audience of users. The current system utilizes a standardized JSON schema which has been open-sourced as public domain and will continue to be maintained as part of this project and can be explored here: https://github.com/spocra/onchain-voting

If funded, funds will be used for the following purposes:
1. To enhance the voting parameters and capabilities of the system, continuing to operate as a public platform available to any and all users who are interested in hosting their vote on the blockchain.

2. Re-brand the voting platform and provide enhanced/expanded information and "How To" articles to help minimize friction for new users.

3. Attempt to attract real-world use cases which will hopefully bring new users to the Cardano ecosystem.

4. Continue to iterate, develop, and research emerging "identity solutions" such as Atala Prism as viable solutions to enhance and secure the privacy and legitimacy of votes cast using the blockchain.
