Delegator Dividend Reward System

Development of a Smart Contract that provides operators with variable options to deploy sales-based rewards, or "Dividends" to delegators.

Developers on this project include seasoned Stakepool Operators and a Plutus Pioneer.

Addressing the Challenge :

Our approach to this challenge is to consider and better integrate the economic symbiosis between network participants, specifically Developers, SPO's, and Delegators. There are a number of ways that the current Cardano infrastructure can be leveraged to build layered economic incentives to benefit network participants. By focusing on mutually beneficial incentives, we can produce versions of traditional business functions in more elegant and decentralized ways.

Can you articulate the gap between the current state and the expected or envisioned state?

Delegators currently receive ADA rewards for delegation, but do not receive any proceeds of Stakepool business operations.

This project aims to provide Stakepools with simple smart contracts for NFT sales, which provide an adjustablee % of sales to delegators.

Via this mechanism, delegators become more invested in the success of their Stakepool, and have a chance to earn continuous rewards based on sales performance.

This could be applied to ongoing payments like royalties as well, and the code could also be modified to target specific NFT holders.

How might the value of solving this problem be quantified and/or measured?

The best measurement will be increased delegation to "small pools" away from giant centralizing marketplaces like Binance, Coinbase, etc.

This could be a major driver toward increasing decentralization of the network by giving small pools a greater chance to compete.

End State:

Open-Sourced Smart Contract that provides network operators with variable options to deploy proportional sales-based rewards, or "Dividends" to delegators.

Legal Opinion for US based Operators: - $10,000

Expected Launch Date: December, 2021 - Pending various unknown unknown's with smart contracts launching.
