Scale up WADA's Outreach Program

Train WADA teams as mentors to support aspiring entrepreneurs submit quality Catalyst proposals

 WADA: Skilled team of Cardano Community practitioners and entrepreneurs, located in hubs across Africa and the diaspora.

Main Deliverable:

• Pilot a Train the trainer program in one local LCC/hub to increase the capability of WADA to equip more local proposers to submit quality Catalyst proposals

How does the proposal fit into this challenge?

• This project will equip WADA teams on the ground onboard new entrepreneurs into Catalyst using a structured framework

How will this campaign add value to our ecosystem?

• By using a local mentorship train the trainer program, we can onboard talented entrepreneurs into the Catalyst ecosystem in a culturally sensitive way. In addition, although our teams on the ground are somewhat familiar with Catalyst, this project will expand their skills to themselves submit more winnable proposals and also mentor other local entrepreneurs to do same.

Reference & Past Successes:

• In August WADA completed a widely successful Proposer outreach program event, significantly increasing our visibility as the go-to for mentoring and onboarding new developers and entrepreneurs from Africa and diaspora. https://twitter.com/jaycidiq/status/1432106218923888640 
• 8 unique country Africa and diaspora hubs with expanding teams
• A membership platform in development for onboarding and virtual training sessions
• Mentors and experts willing to support both the goals of WADA and Cardano

Roadmap:

Launch Date: Q1 2022

1-3 months Post Project Approval

• Work with The Catalyst School and other Catalyst resource providers to outline an appropriate training for trainers program
• Identify an Incubator/Accelerator-like program to use to enhance business and entrepreneurial skills for trainers
• Select pilot site and team for this project

4-6 months:

• Implement Train the Trainer program

6 months-1 year

• Pilot team independently mentors 3-5 high quality proposals submission into Catalyst
