Latin America does not have an adequate and frictionless entry point to the Cardano and Catalyst Communities
LATAM Townhall offers a place for local communities to meet and connect in their languages, providing a fast and safe onboarding experience
This is the total amount allocated to LATAM Town Hall by Catalyst Swarm.
THE MISSION
As a community-driven initiative that aims to grow Cardano in Latin America, The LATAM Townhall will serve as the largest entry point where all Cardano communities of Latin America meet together to share experiences, encourage participation, connect each other and promote adoption. This is the place where language and cultural barriers are removed, where prejudices are torn apart, and where opportunities are equal to everyone.
With the encouragement and support of Catalyst Swarm and Eastern Town Hall, this proposal is also a CALL for purpose driven people in LATAM to join the MOVEMENT and is part of a 4 pillars CLUSTER driven by the LATAM Catalyst Community, that includes:
DALE: https://cardano.ideascale.com/a/dtd/DALE/381093-48088
LATAM Catalyst School: https://cardano.ideascale.com/a/dtd/The-Catalyst-School-LATAM/383090-48088
LATAM Cardano Ambassadors: https://cardano.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Cardano-Ambassadors-Latin-America/380977-48088
THE PLAN
The central activity is the organization and hosting of recurring sessions in our own languages, initially in Spanish and Portuguese, where people can present, share and discuss ideas and projects. Affinity groups will be provided with break-out rooms that they can use in freedom and with the opportunity to be exposed to a broader audience.
Some characteristics of those summits will be:
All activities will be document and tracked to build trust and transparency
Additionally, the LATAM Town Hall will provide:
THE IMPACT
Latin America is a fertile region for mass adoption and create value based on Cardano. It has talented and passionate people that with the proper tools and opportunities will create its own path and ways to succeed; failure is an option but not a surrender.
By providing a meeting point where people can express in its own languages and cultures we expect:
