Defiants: Tales of the Ghostchain

Providing a space for Cardano education through an engaging play to earn NFT mobile game, involving projects from the Cardano ecosystem.

A team of 4 people, mainly from Argentina. Consisting of a SPO, a Cardano influencer, a Developer and a graphical designer.

The Game

DeFiants Universe is a play-to-earn blockchain themed NFT mobile game where every project is a character inside the game. Representing the Cardano ecosystem in the NFT gaming space, and re-connecting the community.

The in-game universe takes place inside the Cardano blockchain, where most projects used to fight amongst each other until they realized they had a common foe, legacy financial systems. Following these events, the Defiants were assembled, fierce warriors who fight for freedom and a decentralized future.

This universe allows us to use a unique tool for learning and community bonding… Storytelling. Our vision is for the community to engage in the writing of several stories inside the game.. As stories progress, the game follows, providing an interactive experience for the community besides only gameplay. Users could write stories for their own characters, create wars, partnerships, relationships. The possibilities are endless.

Each Defiant will have its own Cardano NFT, and their abilities will be based upon the real world utility of the project the card is based upon. For example, as Charli3 is an oracle (helps smart contracts get inputs) it would act as a support inside the game. This approach will let lots of people foreign to Cardano projects learn a little bit more about them.

The game will be based on the worldly recognized mobile game, Clash Royale, but with its own unique game mechanics, atmosphere and even with the possibility of earning money while playing.

Objective List / Roadmap for 2022

Short term Goals: Our goal for this stage is to get the initial funding for our vision to be fulfilled. Apart from that we've already started talking to teams from the most important Cardano Applications in the Ecosystem. For now we've already partnered with Mirquir, Gero Wallet and Charli3, some of the biggest Cardano Apps, with more to come soon… (1-2 Months)

Mid Term Goals: Once we get the initial small funding we will prepare our first mints, with these funds we will be able to fully develop our Game and start showing more progress to early community members (1-3 Months)

Long Term Goals: No after getting the first rounds of funding we are ready to get the development going. Our first Goal will be to create our browser marketplace in order for people to start trading their NFT´s. While working in the marketplace we will be also working on the game development, allowing us to start testing and releasing initial test versions during mid 2022. (3-12 Months)

Disclaimer

Biggest cost for minting is website development, which one of our founders specializes on. This way we can afford to mint without big development costs.Full development of the game will be covered by minting the firsts Defiants NFTs.

We are still looking to grow the size of our team, we are specifically looking for a developer experienced on game design.

This project is still under development, so any kind of feedback and suggestions will be extremely helpful.
