Visualizing NFT movement and interactions through on chain explorers is confusing and complex.
Create a web app dashboard with key metrics for game asset NFT's so game makers have a clear view & tracking of their content.
This is the total amount allocated to Game Asset Analytics [Revelar].

As we have started seeing our users play and grow our NFT Game - Duo - we discovered that the more our game pieces minted and sold, the less and less we knew about how and where they were being used, sold, traded, held, etc. Tracking assets and transactions down via the traditional blockchain explorers was confusing at best, slow and difficult most of the time.
Revelar is the first NFT Game Engine on Cardano and will bring gaming specific tooling for game developers / teams to spend their time on the game, not integrating it with Cardano.
This proposal covers the game asset analytics dashboard within the Revelar NFT Game Engine v1. As game makers ourselves we found that we really wanted to know more about how our game pieces were being used so we could deliver a better gaming experience in preAlpha and Alpha and then as we continue to develop and launch our game.
V1 of this dashboard will include
- on-chain data recording and metrics such as: number of wallets an asset has been in, where an asset is currently located, policy id level metrics like average NFT's per wallet, distribution curve.
- wallet analysis (Flipper or HODL, new or old wallet, other wallet holdings, etc)
- backend integration with Revelar Game Engine
Measurables (Auditability)
As defined by the challenge, our goal is to focus on three key metrics over a 3, 6, 12 month period for the Revelar Game engine's impact on Cardano NFT games.
Number of unique projects tracked
Unique sessions reviewing data
Our 3 month goal after v1 of the website is live is to track 50 projects with > 2000 total unique viewing sessions.
Our 6 month goal is 100 projects with > 8,000 unique viewing sessions.
Our 12 month goal is 500 projects with > 50,000 unique viewing sessions.
Development Timeline (Audibility)
- March 1st 22' (Sprint 1): Frontend UI/UX design complete
- Weeks 3 & 4 (Sprint 2): On-chain data crawlers & Database setup
- Weeks 5 & 6 (Sprint 3): Dev load testing of populating existing NFT collections & data visualization frontend work
- May 22' (Sprint 4): Full integration with all Revelar services
Public delivery by: May 31st, 2022
Costs & Use of Funds (Auditability)
The funds used in the development of this web app will be used to (partially) pay developers. We will be paying all cloud service costs out of pocket. Since this will ultimately be a commercialized service for developers, Revelar will provide the equivalent of USD value in credits to artists / projects who use the Revelar Game Engine on a first-come-first serve basis (cap per project). This will extend the Catalyst Fund value to projects far beyond this initial investment.
Development hours: 335 (3 devs each contributing ~14 hrs each week for 8 weeks)
This ends up being $34/hr to the developers, the rest of their rate will be covered by Revelar.
