Create a bi-weekly video podcast covering new games and updates for previous games each episode to highlight community projects.

A decade as a Tech Founder & CTO co-hosting with a Lead Designer and Youtuber

After launching Duo, our NFT Game we discovered a vast community of games, projects, teams and players who are all frantically searching for high quality content to stay up to date with the progress of their latest games. Some larger projects do this well internally, but for many indie teams and developers this marketing is a struggle.

As a fellow game maker in the Cardano community we want to bring awareness to other projects (the focus on funded projects from Catalyst) as we believe a rich gaming community creates diversity and options for gamers of all genres to enjoy and learn about games they might not otherwise try.

We would run a pilot season with a Youtube series (12 episodes) every two weeks doing an interview / our takeaways on a CNFT game. Each episode we would also do a recap of all the progress made with each project we have interviewed. This cadence works well with the traditional development sprint. Each video would also be launched as a podcast for the large community of audio only listeners. If there is community demand beyond the pilot season for future seasons we would continue in a traditional sponsor model. (By season / episode)

Measurables (Auditability)

As defined by the challenge, our goal is to focus on two primary metrics over a 24 week period post funding.

Interview and review the gaming projects / games that got funded starting with Fund 7.

Measure the views, downloads, and listens to the podcasts and report those back to the community each episode.

Our goal is to interview 12 funded games from Catalyst, but if there are not any left to fill the schedule we will connect with other non-funded games in the Cardano ecosystem.

Timeline (Audibility)

New YouTube & podcast episodes every 2 weeks starting after funding has been awarded and we spend time interviewing and researching the first project. First episode due by March 2nd, 2022

Costs & Use of Funds (Auditability)

As a pilot, the use of funds will be primarily used for Video editing and content promotion costs. Each of the 12 episodes (45min to 1hr each) will break down costs as follows:

$100 per episode for videographer shoot (2hrs per episode)

$200 per episode for video post production ( 4hrs per episode )

$100 per episode for paid promotion via cross sponsorship, CNFT newsletter placements, social media content clipping and distribution.

$400 * 12 = $4,800
