Many African entrepreneurs are not fairly exposed to Cardano and DLT as a whole because most of the initial information is given in English.
Organize regular DLT educational events with French translation/concurrent French content to engage native French speakers more naturally.
This is the total amount allocated to Scale-UP Wada's Translation FRENCH+.

Wada has been operating in bilingual context using both professional translators and bilingual team members to provide content in French.
Wada has already been hosting regular events with multilingual focus. With this proposal we hope to scale up what we are doing and to more permanently retain our current French translators as well as engage other language translators. Our goal is working towards making this space much more available and approachable to all, especially non-English speakers.
There are thousands of native languages spoken throughout Africa which is a huge obstacle in implementing DLT education and encouraging adoption on the continent. By starting with some common languages in the areas where Wada already has a local footprint such as French and Arabic, we hope to encourage non English speakers and eventually offer more content in African native languages.
In our experience so far with outreach, people on the African continent are already hesitant to trust anyone talking about anything crypto-related because of the many crypto money scams that exist. In order to get past this we need to be able to explain these concepts in a way that can make sense to people and help them feel more comfortable about this ecosystem as a whole. Being able to approach people in a language they are comfortable with will greatly facilitate this process.

All content produced by Wada including events and marketing materials will be made accessible in both French and English, as well as other languages (based on demand).
Key Metrics:
Risk Management:
We are not yet fully established in terms of which additional languages will provide the biggest impact and there is a risk that if we start offering new languages for live translation that there will not actually be a relevant audience to benefit. We plan to mitigate this risk by creating a study to find demand for translation services leading up to events and offering a rsvp form where participants will be able to select/request language.
