Create & deploy Konma Labz, consisting of Haskell/Plutus developers to further help businesses develop DeFi projects on the Cardano chain.

Konma Labz has attended many hackathons. Using IoT and oracles architecture to advance blockchain technology in 15 sectors.

Konma Labz is the research and development wing for the Konma organization.

Konma Labz aims to establish incubation centres for new ideas by building the framework and facilities for research and development.

Konma Labz offers guidance through its team of experts from 15 different sectors who appreciate the benefits of the Konma DAO in areas such as Agriculture, Clean Fuel Technology, Biotechnology, and Solid waste management, to name a few.

This challenge focuses on building an incubation centre for blockchain and Cardano's ecosystem in particular.

Understanding the Problem:

While blockchain integration in almost all the sectors we focus on is not only a practical solution but also essential in most cases, the lack of a talent pool to help development hinders achieving this goal.

Our Solution:

With this challenge, we would want to develop incubation facilities in KONMA Xperience Centers for the talent pool from EMURGO India and KONMA Upskillto further increase the developer's cohort within India.

Demographics:

Konma Labz has its presence inside the "KONMA Xperience centre". The first Xperience centre is located in the southern part of Chennai, India. Chennai is an IT district, with over 70% of the population being tech-savvy. The Xperience centre will attract tech-savvy blockchain users. This would help Konma Labz attract some local developer talent.

Goals:

• Konma Labz intends to use the Cardano Eco-System with the Konma DAO. To do so, they'll build dApps in Haskell, Plutus that are Web3 ready. The API would connect and strengthen the Cardano Eco-System by bridging and growing it.
• Konma Labz will provide bespoke Web3 solutions and dapps by integrating the Interface with Cardano's blockchain and providing these services to partners and collaborators.
• Building a robust developer team from the cohort of the talent pool coming out of these institutes would be our most valuable resource.

Action Plan:

• Utilize the talent pool of developers through Project Catalyst. This process will induce healthy tokenomics of Konma DAO, thereby the Cardano ecosystem.
• Open Physical labs for research and development at the Konma Xperience Centre to encourage and showcase the Konma DAO.
• Konma Labz, with its resources of Haskell, Plutus developers will develop a Second layer solutions plug-in using the API Key to the ADA Pay system and e API documentation provided by Coti. This plug-in will offer seamless Web3 integration into the Konma e-commerce platform and other partner e-commerce platforms.
• Using Konma Xperience Centre(s), Konma Labz would be more accessible to the general public, thereby kindling the interest and showcasing the growth of web3 functionality to budding developers.
• Provide education on creating and utilizing shelly era wallets.
• Konma Labs would offer stations for community members to take part in testnets of the various Dapps. This will be a significant advantage so developers can interact directly with users for their feedback.

Road Map:

The roadmap starts from mid january 2022 in order to be in sync with the talent pool graduating from EMURGO INDIA cohort 1.

Week 1 to 4– Setting up Konma Labz Infrastructure

Week 5 & 6 – Orientation for the Developers and Introduction to Konma Community

Week 7 & 8 – Brain storm and Develop the Architecture for required dApps,DAO s and Oracles.

Week 9 & 10 – development and deployment

Week 11 & 12- development and deployment web3 frontend / website

Week 13 & 14- development and deployment wallet integration

Week 15 & 16- Auditing/Tesnet

Week 17 & 18- website integration and community collaboration campaigns

Week 19 & 20- Beta Test on test net

Week 21 & 22- QA 

Week 23 & 24- ICO

KPI:

Konma Labz will structure a detailed development plan based on the guidance of the consultants from Mlabs, IOHK, COTI, and Emurgo.

Detailed planning of structure and coding will ensure that each Dapp work in sync with each other.

The progress of the Dapp development would be monitored and reviewed bi-weekly by an independent consultant. The faults and bugs encountered will be documented clearly for later fault tracing.

Skills Required:

With the Cardano ecosystem growing, Konma would leverage the existing talent pool by collaborating with players within the Cardano Ecosystem.

Konma Labz has participated in numerous hackathons conducted by Ocean Protocol and Solana Project. We have also helped design architecture for IoT to further interact with oracles and utilize blockchain tech for almost 15 sectors.

The Konma Labz Development team will consist of Jr Developers, Sr Developers, Chief Blockchain Engineer with working knowledge on; Haskell, Plutus, Mithril, Plutus Application Framework (PAF), Oroborus consensus mechanism & Atala Prism.

Budget Breakdown:

Total budget: $30,000/- towards Capital Expense

40% of this budget will be for infrastructure and required hardware and software for building the Konma -Cardano Blockchain Research and Development Labz. Some Head of Expenditures will be: Community Collaboration, Auditing, Web3 Front End, Liquidity Pool, domain purchase, computer systems (peripherals, monitors and CPU's) for development, tools for collaboration and creation (Trello, slack etc.)

The remaining 60% of the budget will be used towards compensating the talent pool. Each challenge has its budget and will contract Konma Labs for Job work. This way, the credit for development comes to Konma Labs, and we can set a percentage aside for monthly expenses to continue building robust and sustainable team of Haskell/Plutus developers.

Challenges:

Konma Labz BlockChain Development: Shortage of experienced developers in India's Haskell/Plutus web3 development. EMURGO India's first batch of developers expected in January 2022 that lack hands-on experience.
