We have difficulty reaching Indian Developers due to language gaps. We cannot currently meet with most Indian students and professors.
Our funded project needs to hire local Indian speaking developers to promote our educational program to Indian students
This is the total amount allocated to CardanoOutreach - India Focus.
We want to hire 2 locally based persons to help facilitate delivery of our educational program to students and professors in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune. These areas have the highest populations of developers and students studying computer science in India.
The problem is sourcing talented educators that speak Kannada and Tamil. We are based in Canada and cannot reach out to these large talent pools to raise awareness of Cardano and the opportunites that exist in this space. We are restricted in English and French.
Hiring 2 additional team members to present our educational program and onboard talent to the ecosystem is crucial to the mission of Cardano and banking the unbanked. This untapped talent pool understands what is needed (to build out solutions and use cases for Cardano and blockchain) and the restrictions of working in their respective countries (ie the local challenges).
Our greatest difficulty with be sourcing an educator who not only speaks the required languages but that shares the same passion and understanding of blockchain tecnology.
Given that this is a live and running project within Catalyst the new member(s) will integrate seamlessly with the team thanks to remote work experience and zoom.
The funding is salary for 2 month for 2 team members ($900 USD each/month). No additional monies are needed as it is assumed the incumbent will have a computer with internet access. We provide the content and presentation deck.
$900 for each educator hired for each month. A 2 month assignment (60 days). We want to hire 2 educators for this 2 month assignment. If this pilot is successful we will approach Catalyst again to request additional funding to continue this initiative.

Expected Launch: Already Launched!
We will provide regular reporting to Catalyst via Coordinator and we will require that the 2 new recruits participate in the final report video.
A separate Wallet for this Fund will allow for tracing of payments to ensure the intergrity of the project.
Internally, our target is to have each presentation have 50 students. The students are already qualified for fit as they are within the scope of computer science (developer) and or business and law, areas where the Cardano Ecosystem lacks talent.
Our goal is to measure number of students engaged, number of referrals to Catalyst and we want to create new feedback loops to continue to engage our community by introducing innovative communications channels such as Tiktok. (launching CardanoMinute on TikTok)
Currently we have delivered sessions to 3,400 students, referred 40 projects of which 3 have been funded. We did not have the time or people to measure how else the balance of the 3,400 participate (are they token holders, still within the ecosystem, still seeking additonal info? We did poll 100 participants to provide feedback on how we did and we discovered 20 students actually took the Emurgo Blockchain course, perhaps more took it that we do not know of! As this project grows we need to create better feedback loops to understand how to better nurture these students.
We will measure average students engaged per session and provide better metrics as the project evolves.
The lifecycle of this particular project is 60 days from funding. Success is defined as educating the students and driving talent to Project Catalyst as proposers or to provide metrics on how the balance of the people engaged participate or not in the ecosystem (via feedback loops, etc, token holders, SPO operators, local hub creation etc.)
