We are delighted to present the progress report for our 4th Incubator Startup on Milkomeda C1. Over the past month, our team has been diligently working to achieve the milestones set at the beginning of the program. We are thrilled to announce that significant progress has been made in the development of the FluidTokens platform, bringing exciting opportunities to the Milkomeda ecosystem. FluidTokens team, has successfully accomplished all the deliverables outlined in our program agreement. Here are the key achievements: ● EVM Smart Contract - Deployments on Milkomeda C1 to mirror the Cardano functionality ○ Create loan requests using NFTs as collateral asking for Tokens or milkADA ○ Get an NFT bond once a loan request is created ○ Get an NFT bond once a lender provides liquidity ○ Unlock the NFT once the loan is being paid back ○ Lender can claim the repayment ● FluidTokens Milkomeda DApp - Fluid Tokens platform fully operational on Milkomeda C1 The Fluid Tokens platform is now fully operational on Milkomeda C1. Last month, the NuFi team successfully completed all the Milkomeda Incubator Requirements, leading to the finalization of the second tranche of the grant. We are pleased to confirm that the NuFi team has received the entire grant. Currently, other teams such as FluidTokens, Socious, and Peanut are diligently working on bringing their contracts to the Milkomeda C1 Mainnet. We have received exciting news from the FluidTokens team, as they have completed their work on solidity contracts for Milkomeda. They are now preparing for an audit, which will be supported by the Incubator grant. Within the next 10 days, FluidTokens plans to begin working on mirroring the frontend from Cardano to Milkomeda. The complete release is scheduled for mid-September this year. We are collaborating with FluidTokens on a joint marketing campaign, which will soon be announced through their official social media profiles. Peanut's team is in the final stages of integrating Milkomeda into their links DApp. We eagerly anticipate hearing more about their technical updates and roadmap plans later this week. We are also proud to highlight the recent accomplishments of the Socious team. They have developed a new feature called the "decentralized escrow service," which is now ready for testing on both the Testnet and Mainnet Milkomeda networks. This solution addresses a persistent issue in the remote work landscape: disputes arising from direct work contracts between organizations and remote developers. Problems often surface as delayed payments or incomplete deliverables. This issue has significant implications, as a survey by the Independent Economy Council : https://www.independenteconomy.org/our-blog/getting-paid-in-the-independent-economy shows that 74% of respondents experienced delayed payments, and 59% are owed USD 50,000 or more for completed work. Currently, escrow services offer a buffer to these issues, securing payment and protecting both remote developers and hiring organizations. However, these centralized services, such as Fiverr, tend to be expensive, with commission fees reaching up to 25%, and maintain total control over the dispute resolution process. Socious unique approach challenges this status quo by decentralizing escrow services, thereby reducing costs and ensuring a fair dispute settlement process. To foster better communication and collaboration, we officially launched the Milkomeda Accelerator Discord dedicated channel. The Discord server serves as a dedicated platform for all applicants and participants to interact, share ideas, and seek support from the Milkomeda Tech and Marketing teams. We have initiated technical discussions with the teams behind Peanut Protocol and NuFi. These discussions aim to explore opportunities for collaboration and leverage the expertise of both teams to enhance the overall user experience of the Milkomeda EVM integration. As part of our commitment to supporting innovative projects, we have distributed the first tranche of the grant to Peanut Protocol. A total of 5,000 USDC has been provided to Peanut Protocol to further their development efforts.

Announcing Peanut

This month we are thrilled to be onboarding our first 2 teams into the incubator program. Currently, we are finalizing our legal agreements with these teams and will not be able to publicly announce their acceptance until all documents have been signed by both parties. We expect all legal documents to be signed by the end of this week (ending Friday march 25th). We understand no further funding may be received this month until we are able to publicly share evidence of this progress.

We continue to presently operate Milkomeda Incubator. We are in the stage of interviewing initial applicants, revising necessary legal documents, and continuously review applications as they are submitted. With this, we are also reaching ur to Web3 Developer discord communities to spread the word to potential applicants. We are right around the corner from opening applications to apply to Milkomeda Incubator (renamed from accelerator)! We have been preparing the new webpage and are in the final stages before going live. The application window will conclude at the end of December 2022. From there we will proceed as planned. Please view a sneak peak of our website (on figma) below.

We have continued to prepare to open applications for our 2nd accelerator batch. We have added a new team member to aid in process design based on feedback from Batch 1. This round we hope to have twice as many teams (10 in total) with an asynchronous approach in our communication. We are now drafting the outline for our new accelerator landing page. Lastly, we have decided to rename this program as an incubator rather than an accelerator. We are eager to keep moving forward in growing this project.

After completing the program, we surveyed program participants. We identified the strengths and weaknesses of the program and currently after a series of internal and external meetings (with the dlab) we have identified key areas of improvement. Project Types - Target companies will be considered based on various categories. Process - Selection - The process will be based on applications as before, but will also include hackathon projects. We are working on the preparation of new rules, requirements, awards and training process for startups together with our partner dlab. We will prepare new dedicated website soon.

In the coming days, we will officially finish Batch1 of our Milkomeda Accelerator Batch1 program. We invite the entire Catalyst Community to the live Demo Day. At the same time, we started internal preparations as part of Batch2 - i.e. preparation of a dedicated website and the rules for joining the program.
