Townhall Channel in Vietnamese

After 2 and 6h from the main Townhall, a 5 mins brief and 30 mins summary Podcast versions in Vietnamese ready for commuters, TL;DR users.

Our team with relevant experiences in translating projects, DevOps, blockchain tech-savvies, SPO, Eastern Townhall moderators/co-hosts.

[IMPACT]

Time issue: Cardano Townhall weekly is at (18:00 UTC) and 01:00 AM Vietnam time equivalent.

Communication protocol issue: Each live session often lasts 2 hours or more, and the meetings are mainly in the English language.

These are the main barriers that are slowing or holding back Townhall's information to reach Cardano and its enthusiastic ecosystem members in Vietnam, particularly and less feedback from South East Asia in general in meetings overall.

The purpose of this project is to summarise the critical contents of the Cardano weekly Townhall meetings in Vietnamese in the form of the podcast format within 2 and 6 hours from the main Townhall.

Post summary podcast on the website with the timestamp video link.

The synopsis is also converted to podcasts for those who prefer listening rather than reading.

By implementing this solution, we believe the project would add the following outcomes:

1. Saving time - Vietnamese Cardano enthusiasts to capture strategic information from Townhall from a reliable source regularly and possibly save time jumping through various social network outlets such as Telegram announcements, Twitter, Discord, Reddit, Facebook et
2. Further source - Supporting people interested in details has comprehensive information and links to specific information for each item when needed
3. Target audience - Vietnamese Cardano enthusiasts could listen to a short of podcasts instead of finding info source, to read in Vietnamese by making a Google translate and repeating the cycle. Commuters whether on trains, buses, cars, or a quick gathering to have a coffee early in the mornings with the low-end smartphone-like devices equipping with the internet connection etc. would able to obtain the update-to-day Cardano information from our platform.

As a result, more people in the local community have the opportunity to access Townhall information in an easier and faster way.

• As we are focusing on quality information and on-time translation, a $60-hour rate may not cover enough the cost for this weekly task. We reserve $100 per week to cover unforeseen risks. We may use this to reward any extra effort.

After receiving funding:

1-2 months: Having workflow (how text is converted to audio), tools and at least 05 translated documents, podcasts ready.

3 months: Provide translated documents, podcasts to at least 5 local largest groups on Facebook/Telegram. Gathering feedback, collecting KPI data, fine-tune workflow/tools

4 months: Feedback data and KPI analysis, Review the impact of the projects

8 months: Expand the groups that need to spread translated documents, podcasts.

Budget breakdown:

Fix cost:

• Website Dev/Ops labor: $1,500.00
• Integrate text to speech converters to the website: $1,000.00
• Website resources (CPU, Memory, storage) upgrade for a year: $1,000.00

(1) Fix cost subtotal: $3,500.00

Expense per video:

• Labor cost for translating, creating a summary of each video: each Townhall video often lasts 2 hours- According to this document - shorturl.at/oryV3, there are about 18,000 words per video. Cardano is paying 0.02$/word so, the final cost for each video is $360 to 400$.

• Labor cost for converting/uploading documents and podcasts to the website, sending the update to social networks: 2 hours (60$/hours)= 120$/video.
• Survey analysis, reporting, PM: It is estimated to take at least 3 hours/week (60$/hours)=$180

We have created a roadmap and plan for 8 months, and we intend to split it into 2 phases. The first phase is the first 4 months (17 weeks) -> so the total cost would be:

= (1) + 17*(2)+ (3) = $3,500 + 17*$700 + $1,700 = $17,100.

After 4 months, we will review the project's impact and apply another proposal in incoming rounds if all KPIs are met.

We will measure performance by feedback survey and number of website visitors. This measurement will be conducted weekly basis. Based on the surveys during and after a fund, we expect to:

• Increase the number of the visitor by 30% every month
• Increase the number of podcast listeners by 20% every month
• Increase the number of ratings as a valued translated document (4 or 5 stars ) from the feedback form by 30% every month.
• Increase the number of monthly feedbacks by 20% every month

1 month:

• There is a new section named "Townhall2vn" on the website, creating a repository to store translated documents and podcasts.
• There is a pilot test to make sure workflow/tool works as designed. Translated summary of the Townhall and podcast will be available on the website.

3 months:

• These translated documents and podcasts will be broadcast to at least 5 local largest groups on Facebook/telegram.
• A super short survey will be embedded in each translated document for collecting feedbacks.
• Fine-tune workflow/tools, continue to add more translated documents, podcasts to the website
• A video will be translated, and a podcast will be created every week.

4 months:

• Feedback data and KPI analysis, review the impact of the project. The second phase of the project will be created if all KPIs are satisfied.

8 months (second phases- will be applied for fund in incoming rounds)

• Continue to expand their reach to more readers and listeners through social networking groups.
• A translated document and a podcast continue to be created every week. There might be improvement applied when we have some findings from the analysis.
