Project lead of VSC2O, experienced CA/PA in Catalyst, community member of Cardano-Catalyst community in Viet Nam. Students-Catalyst integration is one of my vision. Detailed explanations and necessary details about me and the project can be found below.

[IMPACT] Please describe your proposed solution.

The proposed solution aimed to support Vietnamese and Global students (High school / University / Colleges) to extend and enhance their knowledge in Blockchain especially in the Cardano system which will embrace them to opportunities of being part of the global blockchain community. From such a purpose, this proposal is made to create a foundational community for them to find their position in Catalyst, acknowledging technological research and creating impact for their generation. 

[IMPACT] Please describe how your proposed solution will address the Challenge that you have submitted it in.

Fund 9 “ Challenge & Scouted for Students🎓” describes the advantage of Catalyst Funding comparing to Venture Capital and Business Competitions. Our project is believed to maximise such advantage and further bring Catalyst closer to the education system which not only engages them to learn but turn knowledge into action, creating an entrepreneurship wave towards Blockchain evolution. Speaking of technology that the challenge mentioned about the connectivity of students to Engineers, our projects will improve technical knowledge on smart contracts which bridge closer students whom strength is on technology to find opportunities on Cardano.

For the Vietnamese start-up community : objectively said, Viet Nam is one of the active nations in terms of entrepreneurship and start-ups and there is a majority of students in High School and University who are contributing to the nation. Due to language and knowledge barrier, hardly did these communities are able to connect to a system that would help them develop their project better. Therefore, VSC2O is created to create an impact which foundationally bridges more chances of projects to get funded and integrate with Cardano Blockchain. 

For education :  by creating appealing rewards the project could engage students to participate in research and find knowledge for themselves and extend that knowledge to people who haven’t known it before. As a result, not only will their knowledge be enhanced but also the humanity to bring equal education among people will be sustained .

[IMPACT] What are the main risks that could prevent you from delivering the project successfully and please explain how you will mitigate each risk?

• Time/KPI pressure : recruited members for the project are aiming for the age range of High School students to University. With our KPI pressure for each stage and students’ hectic schedule in their own study which could potentially be harmful to the production process.

>> Solution : verifying their time commitment to the project and consider mitigating the KPI system at a particular time for better productivity.

• Quality standardization: creating products (paper, services,etc,...) with less usage which adapt to viewers is worthless and this would highly be the consequences of how the project defines their own products.

>> Solution : have the team doing research about the needs of material in the community (did this piece of information is researched? What is the need of understanding about proposals for beginners? etc,...). The team would also upgrade criteria for the product through debating, assessing based on viewers feedback to ensure the final product is at its finest state.

• Community not reaching wanted number: for such characteristics of the project one of the most important things is to reach a specific number of community members in order to maintain the quality.

If the project is funded the potential of returning to Catalyst in a later round is high. As provided in the detailed plan section, each stage of the project demands different operational activities (like creating courses, services, etc…). Therefore there is a huge need in resource and funding support for the project to maintain the organisation activities and motivate the community members to contribute and create impact to Vietnamese society, the world. Moreover, as each stage could raise demands due to real situations (like the rise of community members that lead to community works, more requested services that require software/application to manage projects, etc,...) the project could consider adding more features to the detailed plan that would ask for more funding support.

The projects will be measured through “metrics” based on the percentage of expected goal and from that creating a score range for scoring. 

Scoring range (based on the percentage of completed task in demand) : 

0% - 20% = 1 

21% - 40% = 2

41% - 60% = 3

61% - 80% = 4

80% +     = 5

Goal:

[AUDITABILITY] What does success for this project look like?

The success of this project can be defined through metrics and its scalability. As mentioned in auditability, after calculating all variables the project is expected to be high through our scoring scale with every single metrics recording its best. Another aspect to look at is the scalability to connect with the surrounding organisation. For instance with the project leader’s role in the Cardano Community as a long-time member, there will be more opportunities of bringing convenience, knowledge and creating changes among the Genz, young generation in Viet Nam and potentially the world. The continuation of the project is also a great way to audit the success factor, this means that even without getting funding in later funds, the project will still run on a large community of students in Viet Nam and the world through our social media channels.
