Millions of youth around the world lack legally recognized identification or don’t have the ability to use it in the digital world.
Adopting Atala Prism will enable Goodwall to create an inclusive ID management tool, so youth can better access goods and services and all data will be collected formally and kept decentralized.
This is the total amount allocated to Digital ID for paperless youth.
Adopting Atala Prism will enable Goodwall to create an inclusive ID management tool, so youth can better access goods and services and all data will be collected formally and kept decentralized.
Goodwall’s mobile-first platform guides over 2 million youth aged 16 to 24 from over 150 countries on their educational and career journeys. Its mission is to leverage its community and an ecosystem of partners to help youth maximize their potential and impact society positively.
As users sign up to Goodwall, on any type of device, they are presented with a user-friendly front-end interface/app where they upload their credentials, a Digital ID is created automatically on the back-end. The front end is unified and gamified whilst the back-end of the identity feature is linked to the blockchain
Identity credentials are encrypted on the blockchain and only the owner of the data can grant access. Granted access would essentially be “read only”, no physical copy so we reduce the possibility of identity theft.
The use cases for the Digital ID are numerous:
Goodwall´s mobile-first platform guides over 2 million youth aged 16 to 24 on their educational and career journeys, with 12% being in Africa. We want to equal the playing field by leveling up the current community in close to 10 African countries (both French and English) and with the support of our ecosystem of partners help youth maximize their potential and impact in society positively.
While many of our users don’t have a bank account, a laptop or sometimes even a traditional ID document, they do have a mobile phone and access to wifi, and an incentive to join the platform (e.g to participate in challenges and get monetary rewards for them). Thus, by adopting Atala Prism we can reach millions of youth around the world and help them reach the traditional institutions or organizations that would have been unreachable otherwise, but also for the organizations and institutions provide access to millions of undocumented youth.
Budgeting issues - It is necessary to use our project scheduling tool, following the budgeting procedure, and make realistic assumptions to avoid cost overruns. The Atala Prism technology is still at early stages so we will need to coordinate closely the implementation to make sure it will be within the scope of the proposal .
Limited engagement of stakeholders - Goodwall will collaborate closely with the Cardano and Atala Prism teams as well as with Cardano Foundation (which we are already in contact with) in order to align on the use cases and implementation.
Lack of information or resistance by users- the Goodwall users might not understand the purpose of having a DID. We will provide a complete guide to our users when creating the DID’s, Goodwall has good experience with interacting with its users.

Goodwall has already submitted proposals on Fund8, two of which are being funded. We aim to continue applying in the next funds with new ideas or with projects that are continuations of funded proposals.
The key goal of the project is to have a use case for AtalaPrism DID tech into the operation of our company providing the DID to our next Gen network of users. The value of this to the ecosystems will include:
Deliverables :
A live dashboard will be set up in order for the team to track the success of the project and a full report will be given at the end of its implementation.
In a rapidly changing environment and increasing digital economy, societies and economies are becoming more complex, interconnected and dynamic. Countries and communities are faced with the challenge of providing learning opportunities for the youth to develop lifelong learning and relevant skills to thrive and compete. With the help of Cardano´s blockchain technology we are able to provide young people without the proper documentation the ability to connect to learning and earning opportunities with universities, companies and organizations. Providing users with an inclusive and trusted digital ID system is fundamental to strengthening the transparency and efficiency and effectiveness to deliver users opportunities to fast track their careers. Being able to reliably and easily verify information is critical to empowering the community and motivating youth to learn and build relevant skills to have all the right tools to address global demands and maximize their potential. Most importantly using blockchain we are able to protect the users from any breaches and thefts giving the youth complete control and freedom to express and display themselves with no limitations or restrictions.
Goodwall will consider this project successful if:
