There are already several types of hardware wallets that support Cardano, but most of them have a particular shape, such as a USB dongle type. This shape is not a problem when used in front of a PC, but it is problematic regarding daily portability and increased management costs.

 Our proposed card-type hardware wallet is the same size as a credit card and can be stored in a standard wallet or card case, making it highly portable. If the wallet is lost or stolen, the fingerprint authentication function ensures that only the cardholder can use the wallet.

 The card-shaped hardware wallet is also expected to be used not only for authentication functions of wallet applications but also in more situations due to its high portability and form compatibility with existing cards. This means that existing systems can be replaced or extended with Cardano, which is synonymous with the integration of Cardano into society and the acceleration of its spread.

The features of our proposed hardware wallet are as follows

+ The size of the wallet is 85.6mm x 53.98mm, which is the size of a standard credit card.

+ The wallet is equipped with a fingerprint sensor that can be used only by the wallet owner and shared by multiple people, thanks to a feature that allows multiple fingerprints to be registered.

Currently, the issue in our proposal is the thickness of the hardware wallet. ISO/IEC 7816 ID-1, which is the size of a standard credit card, specifies a thickness of 0.76 mm, but depending on the device to be used, this thickness may be slightly larger.

Since thickness is an essential factor in card-type devices, we are currently partnering with various electronics companies to evaluate multiple solutions.

In addition, due to the global shortage of semiconductors, the availability of devices is currently not good. Therefore, we are working with partner companies and trading companies to increase device procurement methods and routes.
