Cardano Events Barcelona

[IMPACT] Please describe your proposed solution.

Events are important rallying points in the crypto community. Barcelona is a city that has a vibrant Art and entertainment culture, and one of the most visited cities in the world which offers an opportunity to attract a wide audience.

Working with The Cardano Hotel in Barcelona, we have already delivered a successful event that was full to capacity. The total cost of this event was covered by Alfred at the Cardano hotel.

Seeing the success and interest there, we have an opportunity to capitalise on the momentum and create a Cardano Hub in Barcelona.

Fun events offer a way of attracting both Crypto and Non-Crypto individuals into our events, where we can educate and inform about our ecosystem.

[IMPACT] Please describe how your proposed solution will address the Challenge that you have submitted it in.

Well-organised events, can give the opportunity to interact with our community and display the support, generosity and fun we have in the Cardano community. It allows us to introduce use cases in a threatening environment. These events create visibility and understanding that precede onboarding to any ecosystem.

[IMPACT] What are the main risks that could prevent you from delivering the project successfully and please explain how you will mitigate each risk?

The main risk is another global pandemic that prohibits the public to attend events. If this were the case we would pivot to an online interactive experience.

We have already delivered such an event, and have over 20 years experience in delivering various different types of events in Barcelona, so we for-see no other major risks.

Once we received funding the first step is to agree on dates.

We will be delivering 3 events over 3 months. 1 per month. The time depends on when we receive funding.

The key stages to organise events are:

Theme. Budget. Venue. Catering. Entertainment. Marketing.

The management of the events will be done by myself. I have 5 years experience working in this capacity as an international business manager in events. I will be working to help deliver another proposal. I have left my day job to focus on contributing to Cardano ecosystem through my current skillset. I have the time.

The organisation with be done through OYDE who has the infrastructure and network specific to organising such events. They will manage, Venue, Catering and Entertainment.

Marketing and content creation will be done through a local company that created the content for the event held at Cardano Hotel.

Marketing and content creation: $ 1000 per event ($3000)

• Filming + Video Editor: $600
• NFT and ADA giveaways for onboarding: $400

Event deliver: $4000 (x3): $12000

• Venue & Catering approx: $2500 (per event)
• Entertainment: $1000
• Staff: Approx $500

Total: $15000

OYDE: As an events company in Barcelona, the team will provide the infrastructure, and organisation of each event.

[FEASIBILITY] If you are funded, will you return to Catalyst in a later round for further funding? Please explain why / why not.

The Primary objective is to deliver 3 events that highlight Cardano in a positive way. Depending on our own community response and support, as well as the success of the events there are opportunities to expand this idea, in which case we could return to Catalyst for funding to deliver a more permanent structure to deliver these events in different cities around the world.

Success will be measured, by looking at the following targeted metrics:

• Event attendance: This will show the interest and opportunity available to expand our community in Barcelona.
• Number of New wallets opened: A direct way to bring new and engaged members into the Cardano Community.
• Social media engagement: Twitter and instagram follower growth, likes, shares and comments- This will show that the community found value in the Events.

Guests will see that we are a welcoming and valuable community to be part of.

Guests will come away with more knowledge and understanding of blockchain use cases.

Guests will come away with increased awareness and appreciation for Cardano technology.

Generate an interest in guests to USE the technology.
